Is this name coming back? I’ve seen it suggested in a few threads.

It’s my darling nan’s name so would love to know if anyone knows of any little Joans?

I like this! Good nicknames Jo / Joni, with beautiful and strong associations such as Joan Fontaine, Joan Crawford and Joan Didion. Strong name.

I met a toddler Joan at a children's activity recently. Thought it was pretty great actually. Guess younger parents aren't seeing it as so much of an old lady's name.

It's classic, but I don't really like it, Jane or Jean are both better imo.

I suppose Joni is quite cute.

My dd middle name is Joan. After dh gran really but now she is 10 and getting into music she tells her friends she is named after Joan Jett!

I know a 2yr old Joan, who gets Joni as a nickname, and i also know an 8yr old whose full name is Joni. I really like both, OP, and if its after your nan, you should go for it 😊

I know one Joan who is not elderly, she is 14 and has been going by Josie since she was 6, she still gets embarrrassed if anyone calls her Joan.

The only Joan I know is my aunty who is in her 80s.
I tend to forget that it's her name because she has always hated it and has always been known as Jo.
