Which do you prefer

I personally like Oliver but I feel its so common. I know at least 3 olivers but havent met any ezras but my concern then with ezra is that it's too odd and maybe he'd hate it
Both are family names so no other options please

Love Ezra

Oliver
Ezra is gaining popularity and you will find just as many Ezras as Oliver’s in the school playground.
Oliver is a great solid name. Olly for a cool teenager.
Ezra can be shortened to Ez - just not a nice sound in my opinion!
However it’s just my opinion. I’m a random person so you have to go with what you like.

Oliver. Not keen on Ezra, it seems a bit trendy.

XStardustX · 18/08/2023 13:15

By the way.. if its any help his last name begins with McC..
I'm glad some of like ezra.
I really liked it but some family on my side raised their eyebrows when they heard it which really put me off it. It's my husbands great grandads name

But just to reassure you OP most people wouldn’t have that association im just a history nerd! They’d think of George Ezra.

Bobbybobbins · 18/08/2023 13:10

Ooh love Ezra and much less common

Louoby · 18/08/2023 13:10

Ezra 100%. Oliver is so overused.

Whatsthepoint1234 · 18/08/2023 13:10

Ezra all the way. Both my boys know multiple Oliver’s, I only know one Ezra! I don’t think it’s weird at all, it’s a long established name and it’s become increasingly popular the last few years. It makes me think of Ezra Pound!
