is this baby mine?

my 1st ds has a name starting with j as his dad and half his family do to. he also has his sir name. now with ds2 on the way were stuck with choosing another j name. 1st am i right to feel like it sound like babys have f all to do with me. second anyone have any j name suggestions. im on the brink of mutiny.

My sister rehoused a family with three kids whose names all began with D', like D'Maine, D'Lynn and D'Orangina.

My mum, my brother and I all unintentionally have the same initials and it did get v confusing with the mail when I was still at home - just an excuse for my mum to open our post i reckon!

Funnily enough, I know a family of 'J's as well, all except one girl - Mary Jane (known as MJ). I knew a family of 'S's too. This is SE Scotland.

Might I point out a problem for the future. Once my daughter (with the same initial as me) and my son (with the same initial as his dad) started getting their own post, it got to be very embarrasing for the parents to receive horny teenage love letters. Or porn mag subscriptions. We also have had bills in our DS's name switched over to DH because he is the senior one in the family.

If you're looking for unusual J names, how about Job (pronounced Jobe) or Jabez? Both biblical names but v unusual now.

Well, I can't undestand why you are feeling so left out with this, this sort of thing wouldn't upset me.
If you truely don't like any of the other J names there are, then don't do it... personally, that would be an issue for me...I think it must be quite confusing if everyone in the family is J Blocks...bad enough with me and my mum inlaw, we are both K. something or other...and we don't even live in the same house, lol...

My mum is one of three S's Shirley, Sheila and Sylvia.
Mum was staying in a hotel once and got talking to the chambermaid who cleaned her room, the topic got round to children and the chambermaid told mum that she had three boys Dirk Dean and Darren!!!

Sorry OP, this doesn't really help you, but I feel a conspiracy coming on - large families where all the children's names begin with J - what could it possibly be about? To save on nametapes? But, as Ernest says, why J? Enquiring MNers need to know. If you are part of a large J family, we want to hear from you now.

Try and go for middle name instead. I used to work with a girl called Judith, her sister was Janice and they both still lived with their parents well into their twenties and post was a nightmare!

uhuh. my dad said it was a meat head idea which i found offensive so now my family dont want it saying it makes them feel like its not to do with them and it makes it even more uncomfertable.
