Which middle name for Rosa

First name is 100% set so not asking for opinions on it.

We are just stuck with the middle name.

Eliza - not sure if the double "z" sound is too much but we love the meaning
Emilia (too spanish when paired with Rosa)- the meaning isn't great but I like how it sounds

Last name is quite common, long English surname so anything goes with it really.

Rosa-Ray?
🥰

Ray? Like an elderly man?😄 Awful! How about Tamsin, Molly, Cleo?

TheBrightestStarInTheSky · 10/08/2023 21:52

Rosa Juliet
Rosa Grace
Rosa Mae

Like someone with a brummie accent saying Rosary?

Forgot to add that both are family names which is why we are considering them.

I would prefer a different ending but can't find anything else that we like

Immediately came to mind - Rosa Octavia!

Emilia if it’s a choice between those two. Rosa Eliza sounds odd, like the start of a nursery rhyme Grin.

I’d personally go for a name that didn’t end in ‘a’ with Rosa, though (which is a beautiful name, even though you didn’t ask Wink).

MissHavershamReturns · 10/08/2023 21:22

Love love love Rosa

Not keen on two A sounds though, sorry! I think will sound too similar. Rosa Mary eg sounds better to me.

I would also personally prefer the sound of a slightly longer middle name so it isn’t too samey with two short names.

Rosa Elizabeth?
Rosa Emmeline?

Every other girl seems to have Rose as a middle name Wink

I wouldn't use a middle name starting with A or E, and would avoid a name ending in a.

wellingtonsandwaffles · 10/08/2023 21:18

Personally I wouldn’t have 2 names ending “a” but that’s preference, also think a middle name starting in a vowel is hard with the first name ending in one.

Rosa is a beautiful name. Eliza is also lovely, just not sure how well they go together!

with a long surname I’d probably go for a short middle name, how about…

Rosa June
Rosa Quinn
Rosa Faye

or longer options
Rosa Felicity
Rosa Catherine
Rosa Edith (the hard E stops the vowel being an issue)

Rosa Lianne

Rosa Clementine

Rosa Elizabeth
Rosa Elsbeth
Rosa Elise

Rosa Emily
Rosa Emmeline

They are all variations of the names you like but go a bit better I think

Rosa Eliza is beautiful! I say go for that. It has a lovely poetic ring to it.

Best wishes for her arrival! X
