Qbishy, some names seem like an adult's name not a baby's. But adults with names like Maureen and Colin will have been babies once.

I find it strange when people say I can't imagine an adult Poppy or Rory, but that's probably because I met adults with the names before I met babies/children with the name.

I think it's a big sad that you're picking a name based on an arbitrary rule and not because you love it or think it will suit your daughter. But whatever: Olive works. I'd say Alice but it's too close to Elise.

How can anyone possibly know if a name will suit a grown woman, when she's a wrinkly little baby 😆

I don't agree! My twin girls are called Clara and Heidi, and similarly we liked how they follow the same vowel pattern (3rd and 5th letters the same vowel, if that makes sense). We didn't choose the names based on this criteria, we just liked them, but we felt that this added factor made the names complement each other well.

Heidi, Elise and Laila would be my choice!

I was going to suggest Quinn but not sure that really works with Heidi and Elise.

Paige, Faith, Olive are all lovely and fit the rules.

Ariel? It is actually a nice name but people will think of the little mermaid.

Sofia, Piper, Julia are almost there?! There’s an I but just in the wrong place.

I think Quinn works, I like it

@Haveallthesongsbeenwritten
Heidi and Elise have 5 letters and they are our other 2 daughters. So we want our 3rd daughter who is due rather soon to have the same. Personally choice

Fair enough! I wanted to suggest Louise but does not fit your criteria

I don't think they're NOT going to pick a name they love or think it will suit. The name can fit all 3 criteria. 😁

People are so funny about names.

Lots of parents use arbitrary rules for their kids names after they have had the first sibling.

I think Luisa is lovely with Heidi and Elise

So do I for a few reasons.

But I posted a whole load of names so the OP can see what fits, look up their meanings and origins.

KirstenBlest · 30/07/2023 10:46

KirstenBlest · 30/07/2023 10:45
