Trine
Alina
Amina

Do you mind if the last letter is I or e or should it be something different?

Gah! Zombie thread!

But, thanks OP, for coming back to tell us what you chose.

I was going to suggest Quinn but not sure that really works with Heidi and Elise.

Paige, Faith, Olive are all lovely and fit the rules.

Ariel? It is actually a nice name but people will think of the little mermaid.

Sofia, Piper, Julia are almost there?! There’s an I but just in the wrong place.

Nah, they’ll think about doing the washing.

Frida is a lovely choice!

Hey there,
I just came across your thread and I am with you 100%, I could have written it myself!! It’s hard to explain but it was my criteria too. I am a mum of three girls, all 5 letter names with I as the 3rd letter. What are the chances! I have Heidi, Eliza and Paige

Hi@Girlmum1993 wow, it's nice to see someone with the same idea when some people are judgy when seeing siblings have "matchy" names. ...but yeah it is hard to explain wanting the names to have a connection. Since writing this post our 3rd girl is now 9 months old and her name is Frida. Heidi and Elise, are such amazing big sisters 😍

Frida - works nicely with your other names.

@Tiredalwaystired , Isn't Eilidh a gaelic name? Surely the omission of the i would change the pronunciation.
If I saw Elidh I'd think it was either a typo or a 'gaelic/gaelge' spelling of Ellie.
If someone pronounced her name as Ayleigh, I'd probably try Eilidh, Aily, Aylie, possibly Hayley or Hailie, but not Elidh.

@Twyford , Caity could be short for Caitlin, but agree with you that it doesn't look like a sensible spelling.

DiaNaranja · 04/08/2023 09:22

Alice and Eliza don't really work with one already called Elise. Faith goes well

Tinysoxx · 04/08/2023 09:07

The rule we had was that the initial was not the same. This was handy for documents/ labelling etc when people just used the initial.

WimbyAce · 04/08/2023 08:43

Paige is lovely, was on my list. I also have a Heidi 💕

bunnypenny · 04/08/2023 08:30

Mairi (Scottish for Mary - pronounced mah-ree)

Twyford · 04/08/2023 08:29

Please knock Caity right off the list. She'll either spend her entire life correcting people's spelling and hate you for it, or will change her name to a sensible spelling as soon as she possibly can.

Judging by your username, is your actual name Emma or Emily? If so then maybe avoid that name. I think Alice and Eliza are too similar to your daughter's name (Elise). Daisy and Leila are the best in your list.

Zye-ear according to the 70's song. One person suggested Aviva which I thought was an insurance company

😆

I think Zaire would be assumed to be said as Zigh-air or Za-ee-ruh

I think Faith goes nice with your other girls names (lovely names)

Tiredalwaystired · 03/08/2023 22:45

Not always. I knew one spelled in the five letter way. Also, I’m not sure there are rules about these things.

Elidh. (Pronounced Ayleigh)

Isn't it usually Eilidh?
