***URGENT***Name for a feisty /firey girl please.

Please no chav.

No Blaze,Courtney-May, Minky-Rae etc.

My daughter already does not suit her name it is far to gentle for her even dh agrees (I am amazed by this) but I am flummoxed as to what we could call her instead as we had Nell, Annie, Constance and Dolly on our lists and neither of them fit either.

Any suggestions would be very welcomed, I really want to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later I think we have 5 weeks before we can't change it officially.

Goodness lots to think about already.

Love Hattie- already taken by my best friend who's dd is now 4 weeks old so maybe Hettie is too similar.

Agnes(Aggie) I love but it reminds me of that scottish woman in hat cleaning you house telly thing (shudder)

Wow that is great. Very her too. She is so unique I have never known another baby like her. I am glad I asked here, I'm finding looking at baby name books very confusing I just read name after name uninspired I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

She is a Lily and gets called Lil/Lu/LiLu. It does not suit her at all. No middle name I thought Rosa was enough. Glad dh did not choose tough he wanted Jemima, equally not her-too soft.

I think I like George/Tiggy/Hettie- Henrietta? So far.

Georgina (for Enid Blyton reasons)
Thomasina (per analogy with Georgina, also rather like it)

Thalia - as in muse of comedy, great for a very lively person

Feisty girls from Shakespeare - Cordelia, Perdita (though I think Perdita's a sad name)

Feisty women from the Bible - Judith ...

There's another Greek name on the tip of my tongue - I'll post it when I remember it.

Oh I have one of those - she's 7 now and we really struggled with her name and dh didn't like any of the one's I suggested. So we have an Eilidh (pronounced Aylee) and it really suits her - she learnt to spell it from 3 years old and boy does she tell people off when they pronounce it wrong. "It's Eilidh" at the top of her voice.

Does your DD have a middle name? And if so, could that be shortened? Or, could you use her initials - e.g. Amanda Jane (AJ)?
