Doing this poll on behalf of a good friend who is due on Thursday. What do you narky old hags make of these names ?

Thalia / Talia (and comments on spelling?)
Bella
Roseanna / Rosanna (spelling?)
Lola
Mahalia
Xia (pronounced Zee-ah)

Will pass on bitchiness comments to friend asap :-)

(p.s. she is a real friend not a 'friend' - ie. I am not up the duff!)

Ros(e)anna is lovely and fairly unusual without being bonkers.

Lola is lovely too but suspect is more popular.

Xia and T(h)alia are going to be confusing for people to spell/pronounce, not that it matters really.

Don't like Bella (reminds me too much of dogs - sorry) and Mahalia is a bit long and un-shortenable IMO.

And I'm not a narky old hag

Talia - common, Thalia - not so common (cant explain why)
Bella - nice
Roseanna/Rosanna - reminds me of the programme Roseanne and the actress Roseanne Barr, plus she'll probably get called anna or ann which I'm not keen on
Lola - pretty but becoming v v popular
Mahalia - sounds like a jab you'd have before going into the rainforest or something
Xia - reminds me of the baddie in the Die Another Day James Bond film.

Rosealine/Rosaline/Rosalind
Thea

Just my personal opinion though.
She should pick whatever she loves.
I know alot of people dont like my kids names but I could not give 2 hoots
