I have looked all over the baby name threads already on here and still can't find one we like. Almost 30 weeks pregnant with baby girl and we just cannot agree on a name.
We both like more unusual names but not so unusual that it would sound silly or be spelt ridiculous if that makes sense. I want a pretty name, something that sounds lovely and sweet but not something you would hear very often.
I really want to name her before shes here so please help us choose a name that we can agree on. Thanks in advance!

I quite like Amaya, winter, sage and Darla from your suggestions. I work in a school so a lot of names that have been suggested I associate with children i know so it puts me off the name straight away. A lot of names that have been suggested i like but the spelling throws me off and if i think people could mispronounce it i get put off that name as well. Its so hard choosing a name but thank you everyone for your help

It must be so difficult when you work in a school.

From these names I probably like Amaya the best but was going to suggest Sorrel. I’ve only ever met one and she was a lovely little girl.

Also wanted to point out that if you use Maeve, it’s the name of one of the lead characters in Sex Education. Beautiful name but it might be due a rise in popularity.

I’d also recommend going to your local playgroups and BFing Support Groups while you are still PG. not only will you build yourself a network of fellow Mums and Mums-to-Be, you’ll see if there have been 5 babies born with your chosen name in the last month Smile

Hi all, I have question about bottle feeding. Using the perfect prep machine when at home. Sometimes I make bottle up and baby doesn’t want it just yet, once it’s made up how long is it good for, am I ok to put lid back on or once it is off is it no longer sterile? I believe bottle ok for 1 hour once in use or is it 2 hrs at room temp?

Thank you

I called mine Elena, bit a different spelling. I really wanted to use the traditional spelling but where we lived it would just be pronounced as Ellen-a, and I really didn't want that because sounds too much like Eleanor in our accent. I don't know anyone else with that name. Never even heard of anyone with that name onmy a couple of slightly famous people, and I only know that because I googled it.

I love Stella. Also loved Vada but the Death Star romper ruined that. Nel is lovely, Ellen as full. My youngest has what I’d call a very rare name, never heard of it before or since having her. My eldest had a name that was rare when she was born but now always top 100. Fashions change, you can’t guarantee it’ll stay rare.
