Appreciate this style isn’t to everyone’s taste & ‘you won’t know what she’ll be like’ has been thrown around but then you don’t know if she’ll be sickly sweet when you call a little girl daisy? You may recognise me from the Connie or Frankie thread! Grin I still feel like I’m looking for that perfect cool name for our second little girl! Please give me all your amazing suggestions, you’ve all been so helpful so far!

I like Cameron for a girl (but then I’m a fan of Halt & Catch Fire) - not Kamryn (as someone suggested 🙄)

Coolest girl I ever knew was called Ruby so that name is now associated with coolness to me!

As Margot Hemingway said “The “t” is silent. As in Jean Harlow”

MikeUniformMike · 20/02/2019 16:38

Harlow gets suggested on here every now and then.
Why not Borehamwood or Stevenage instead.

I love Tess, that’s a badass name from tess of the d’urbervilles!

I work with a lady called Morwenna which I think is lovely but not sure if it’s too frilly.

My daughter is Indie and I also like Elliot? That was her runner up name x

AdaColeman · 20/02/2019 16:28

I agree about rejecting Bexley, Sidcup is much nicer!

Please do not call your DD Bexley

I’ve always loved Dale for a girl. My DF suggested it when I was pregnant with dc1, I had all boys and don’t like it for a boy.

Giving a girl a masculine name because only then can she be "cool" is shite.

Most “unisex” names are boys names girls use and which rapidly stop being boy’s names. And then quickly become unfashionable because girls, meaning the bearer's age can be easily pinpointed for the rest of her life Grin
