Tell me what name you would like for yourself. And maybe your partner. So I can hear some names that work beyond the baby years. Thank you.

jasper for what it's worth think its in a different league to Tabitha which is twee and plain to me, enjoy your pretty name!!

EmmaWoodlouse · 28/04/2016 20:50

My real name is OK but at times I've thought I would have liked to be a Charlotte, or possibly even Adelaide (I went through a phase of reading a lot of Regency romances). DS2 has just told me if he had to have a different name he'd be Josh.

HighDataUsage · 29/04/2016 17:32

Lucinda or Lydia

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 29/04/2016 17:36

My actual name is horrible. I'd rename myself Eilidh.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 29/04/2016 17:37

DS1 (nearly 16) is absolutely certain that he wouldn't want to be called anything other than his own name. So clearly I'm better at choosing names than my parents.

iisme · 29/04/2016 18:19

I've always wanted to be Eilidh too! My name is kind of nice but pretty plain and very dated - about 80% of people who've ever had this name must have been born in the 70s or early 80s and I often have to use my surname initial when emailing to differentiate myself from other people with the same name!

OSETmum · 30/04/2016 07:22

I'd be Charlotte nn Charlie which was actually my parents' 3rd choice but I hate my actual name although it is probably the most features name on this thread for some reason!

cheapandcheerful · 30/04/2016 07:53

Eliza or Felicity

VaVaVooom · 30/04/2016 08:23

I always wanted to be called Samantha when I was a child....

Now perhaps something like Pandora or Evelyn?

Bombaybunty · 30/04/2016 08:42

Josephine. I'm Already a Jo but Josephine is so much nicer than Joanne.

jellybeansprout · 01/05/2016 09:42

I wish my name was Zoe, Tara, Megan or Jess.

ManonCrempog · 01/05/2016 10:10

I'm Manon. I love it, it suits me perfectly.
Other names I like are Elizabeth, Mary, Katherine, or Siân.

LemonRedwood · 01/05/2016 10:14

I wish my parents had chosen my middle name - May - as my first name.

I'd use it as my name now but unfortunately I think I'm firmly established as my first name and look more like her than a May IYKWIM.

GinandRoses · 01/05/2016 18:39

I'm a Rebekah and I've never thought it suited me; I was originally intended to be a Poppy.

I think I should be Violet!

butteredmuffin · 02/05/2016 15:59

Elizabeth or Anna or Alexandra.
