Do you like this as a girls' name, or is it to out there?

I quite like Madeleine but I don't like Madison.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

How about 'wriggle'

Sansoora · 17/10/2015 11:05

Why would you do that to a child?

Jeez. Please get a huge tattoo or something on the end of your nose, or across you forehead. Just don't call any child by that name in order to make you come across as being 'different'.

MamaLazarou · 17/10/2015 19:37

I like it.

Harmony?

Melody?

Stadium Anthem?

celtictoast · 17/10/2015 21:31

Anthea, if Stadium Anthem was too "out there"? Smile

msgrinch · 17/10/2015 21:33

Awful, just awful. It's a noun not a name. If this is real that is.

celtictoast · 17/10/2015 21:43

Lots of names are nouns. Violet, Fern, Ruby, Olive, Summer, Ivy, Ash, Basil, River, Robin and many more.

Haffdonga · 17/10/2015 22:00

I think it's rather lovely as long as you actually are into medieval music. (It would be a bit weird if you are actually a family of death metal fans.)

Go for it. Smile

Flower names, and precious stones, in the main (there are exceptions, obviously), were a Victorian fashion. Robin is from Robert (a 'proper' name). Basil has been a 'proper' name for bloody centuries (I suspect you're thinking of the 'erb) River didn't really catch on did it, being a fair way from being a top 10 name.

reuset · 17/10/2015 23:39

Anyway, the OP isn't going to use the word madrigal as a name, rather sensibly. So all the 'go for it if you like it, hun xx' posts are rather wasted

bolleauxnouveau · 17/10/2015 23:50

Anna Madrigal is apparently an anagram.
Anagram is a good name.
Or how about Acapella if you want to stick with a musical theme?

Twasthecatthatdidit · 18/10/2015 00:02

OP, are you a Breaking Bad fan?

Thundercrackers · 18/10/2015 01:50

What about Melody?

RockinHippy · 18/10/2015 01:56

IMHO it's pretty awful - black adder was my first thought too

I much prefer more unusual names, but sorry, not this one

RockinHippy · 18/10/2015 02:02

Sorry, drtft & have just seen your update - phew :)

How about

Cecily - non Ceci

Magdalena if you are liking Maddy as a NN, & want something less common
