Is Benedick usable?

DH thinks the ending is problematic but I like the Shakespearean reference.

I have a cousin Benadick, all his sibs have Shakespearian names too.

He goes by Ben these days I think...

There's Bendix as well, which is used in Germany.

I think it is Grin but I've heard it as a name too. I think there's a character in Thomas Mann's Buddenbrooks called Bendix.

Being named for after dinner mints is seeming preferable to being named for an ubiquitous actor with alien cheekbones TBF.

I am still loving Benedick, I have to say.

Bennett was DH's suggestion. I'm not really feeling it. I'm not sure he is either TBH.

I particularly like Benedick but I also like the diminutive Ben.

I actually really like Barnaby/ Barnabas although not my normal style.

Completely jumping the gun as only at the TTC/2WW stage, but the idle Benedick conversation turned into a stand-oof in record time so I decided to canvass some opinio

Well, my friend often goes by the name of Ben, but gleefully corrects people who assume he is Benjamin, by saying Benedick, actually, from 12th Night.
