DH thinks the ending is problematic but I like the Shakespearean reference.

Agree wholeheartedly with your DH I'm afraid

Floggingmolly · 04/07/2014 18:12

No, it's not. Why would you, ffs?

Misspilly88 · 04/07/2014 18:12

No!

Solasum · 04/07/2014 18:12

Call him Benedict and you call him Benedick at home?

AnguaResurgam · 04/07/2014 18:13

I don't think it's usable. Sorry.

Finola1step · 04/07/2014 18:13

Your husband is spot on.

scarletforya · 04/07/2014 18:14

Come on now! Don't do it to your poor child!

DramaAlpaca · 04/07/2014 18:14

No. Your DH is right.

McBear · 04/07/2014 18:15

Oh my god! No!

KirstyJC · 04/07/2014 18:15

Why not go the whole way and just call him Bendydick?Grin

Sorry, your DH is right this time.

PitchSlapped · 04/07/2014 18:15

Why the fuck would you?

CuppaHorlix · 04/07/2014 18:15

DH is correct. Benedict is faaaabulous though.

CanaryYellow · 04/07/2014 18:15

He'll spend his whole life saying "it's Benedick... Yes that's right, DICK, not dict. D.I.C.K".

Bowlersarm · 04/07/2014 18:16

No.

Scarletohello · 04/07/2014 18:16

Just NO!

Unless you want him to get the piss ripped out of him at school and him to hate you forever.

Fideliney · 04/07/2014 18:16

Darn it. Benedict is too Cumberbatch, I think.

Ah well, jumping the gun anyway.

Thanks all Smile

Fideliney · 04/07/2014 18:19

Sorry, your DH is right this time.

Benedict means blessed, Benedick means good dick. Probably you know something we don't know...

It also reminds me of Mobydick.

What's wrong with Ben or Dick?

Fideliney · 04/07/2014 18:23

Benedict means blessed, Benedick means good dick. Probably you know something we don't know...

Not so different then. Can't see any man grumbling about that meaning.

Has to be polysyllabic and not Dick

What about Benedect. My Romanian friend's DS is this and I like it, slightly less Cumberbatch although what on god's earth could be wrong with a reference to lovely Cum-berbatch?

Fideliney · 04/07/2014 18:32

Possibly Charles Just found Bendict too. Probably just cause endless spelling confusion.

KoalaDownUnder · 04/07/2014 18:32

God no.

This thread has also just reminded me that I'm the only woman on earth who finds B Cumberbatch totally unattractive.

Fideliney · 04/07/2014 18:33
