My DH wanted to call our DS 'Hereward' after 11th century rebel. Not because he liked the name but so he could make crap jokes about 'Herewards a wake'.

No surprise that I put Frederick on his birth certificate instead.

YellowFeathers · 09/09/2006 14:52

Seth is lovely. It would have been a serious contender for DS, but DP has a slight lisp...

TitianRed · 09/09/2006 07:55

Rhys James Oliver
Peter James Oliver
Matthew James Oliver

BTW Where I live Jonathan James is a cheapo shoe shop, so I'd be too much of a snob to choose that option!

Let us know what you choose!

Do you have any male relatives with good old-fashioned names. My two ds's are named after their grandfathers and they have four christian names (dutch tradition).

notagrannyyet · 08/09/2006 23:45

We,ve got 5 sons & DH insisted they all had 'proper names' ie. saint's names or royal names! Any girl could have a more unusual name if I wanted but not a boy.
