Due a little girl end of September. Already have Lucas Benjamin aged 4.

My Bad 😭😭😭

FayCarew · 18/06/2024 12:22

@TEENMUM2024 , did you not see the notice that the thread was old?

FayCarew · 18/06/2024 12:19

Brooke Butler and Casey Butler sound like company names or double-barrelled surnames.
Tegan and Kaitlin are dreadful.
Lucas and Leah too matchy.
Faith Butler sound like a dodgy religious job title.

Your choices are much nicer apart from Ava, but most are overused.
Bella Butler sounds a bit silly, Issy Butler sounds like a question.

Harriet is lovely and not overused.

Zombie!

TEENMUM2024 · 17/06/2024 21:14

Harper Arabella Butler

Naomi Grace Butler
Madeline Elizabeth Butler

For for fun aince my fiancés birthday is in June I was also thinking:

Jemimapuddleduk · 06/09/2013 19:50

Congratulations and love the name

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd let you know, we had our little girl 3 weeks early on 4th September and we've called her Ellena Jane Butler and she weighed 5lbs 8oz.

Thank you for all your help with your name suggestions - I have officially decided girls names are 1000 x harder than boys to choose haha :)

Trying to find something in between both camps, what about:

Alessia
Katrine
Suzanna
Ciara
Adele

Inclusionist · 25/08/2013 21:10

Francesca Butler

SmallBee · 25/08/2013 21:07

Luke Benjamin is my brothers name (it's not Lucas I know but still, what a great combination!) my parents went with Tara, if that helps?

MortifiedAdams · 25/08/2013 19:22

Tbh I think you are just going to have to concede and chose fhe best of his names.

What was on the long list? Maybe theres a gem.in there?

wizzler · 25/08/2013 19:22

I vote for Madeleine, and prefer your list overall
How about Imogen ?

TerribleTantrums · 25/08/2013 19:19

I like all of your list (although like Harriet less than the others), of your DH's list only Tegan and Kaitlin are possibles, Brooke Butler sounds like an accountancy firm. I think Celeste would go well with Lucas.

sparkle3232 · 25/08/2013 19:18

It is to be a first name :) I just tried to buy him off with using his names as middle names. He is not having any of it :(

Viviennemary · 25/08/2013 19:16

I thought it was to be a first name too. But thank goodness it's not. I much prefer your list to your DH's. I think Sophia Alice sounds good. Or Alice Louise. And Joanna is nice too.

Littlecherublegs · 25/08/2013 19:16

Your list is much nicer!
Though I don't mind Caitlin.

Megan
Thea
Matilda
Anya
Seren
Eva
Bethan

sparkle3232 · 25/08/2013 19:15

He did suggest Faith, which is one of his better suggestions, but I'm still not fully brought with it. But that was on his "long list" and didnt make it to his "short list". I also suggested Mia as I quite like that name but he said it was a nice name, just not for him.

Our whole family is at war with this name game haha Blush

Megan
Imogen
Georgia
Phoebe

ZolaBuddleia · 25/08/2013 19:12

Clearly you are in the right! Is it too late to LTB?

From your list I love Madeleine and Harriet the most.

How about:
Beatrice
Lucy
Caroline
Miranda
Joely
Josephine

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 25/08/2013 19:11

Joanna Butler is quite nice (just jumped into my head, no idea why!).

You have such different ideas! Um, is there anything that's middle ground, like Grace or Hope perhaps?

bluecheque4595 · 25/08/2013 19:07

Fiona. Or Rowan.

Both names of my relatives whose surname is Butler.

sparkle3232 · 25/08/2013 19:07

Ah I've never considered Martha or Freya before. Thank you for those ideas! I prefer more old-fashioned or traditional names, but hubby prefers modern more common ones :(

Even my mother-in-law isn't keen on his suggestions

OP posts:
sparkle3232 · 25/08/2013 19:05

I chose Lucas' name, so he thinks he has automatic rights to naming the new one. I disagree!

MortifiedAdams · 25/08/2013 19:05

Oh gosh those two lists are total opposites arent they....

My suggestions are

Alice Butler
Katie Butler
Louisa Butler
Freya Butler
