advice please Finn or Fynn?

I think we like the name for our second son but I'm not sure what to do about the spelling. Go for phonetic so it will be easier for him to learn, or go for the traditional spelling?

Finn looks correct.

Fynn looks like a typo - have forgotten the l in Flynn.

Fynn is the Swiss way of spelling Finn and is very popular there, I chose that spelling for my son over the Irish way just because it looked nicer to me

Finn is much easier to spell and teachers will at least spell it right.

Looks like it's Finn then. Actually I've been looking up the variations and I quite like the name Finnian then he can be Finn for short but use Finnian if he wants to when he's older.

Flynn is a lovely name, if you are going with Finn though, then the 'Finn' spelling is better

Finn is traditional is well , from old Norse it's not just derived from Fionn.
Fynn may look as if you have tried to be different.
As someone who had the Scandi spelling of a name it's a real pain to have to keep explaining.

Finn. Fynn will look like you're desperate to be different, not matter how traditional it may be, and everyone will spel it wrong constantly. You'll spend years referring to your son as 'Fynn-that's-F-Y-N-N', as will he.
