Came across this name the other day and can't imagine how it is spoken. Tylaaah? Tar-y-lar?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
spanky2 · 31/07/2011 13:01

tyler?

BitzyVonMuffling · 31/07/2011 13:01

Taylor? Poor kid

Nagini · 31/07/2011 13:02

taylor probably. It's fucking awful, in case you weren't sure Grin

stardustn · 31/07/2011 13:47

I would have thought Taylor...

feckwit · 31/07/2011 13:49

taylor i would imagine.

suzikettles · 31/07/2011 13:54

Taylor, if Bianca from Eastenders is shouting for her across the square.

SiamoFottuti · 31/07/2011 13:56

I think its pronounced "my parents are knobs". Not sure though.

cookielove · 31/07/2011 13:56

i thought say it how it spelt so Tay -lah

which is horrible

or go with the crowd and Taylor

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2011 14:02

I am tempted to say that it is pronounced CHAV - but I am nice, so I won't. Agree with Nagini that it is indeed freaking awful though.

rainbowtoenails · 31/07/2011 14:13

Tay-la

PeterSpanswick · 31/07/2011 14:16

Good God!

aliceliddell · 31/07/2011 14:16

Soddit - Remus said it first. Damn you and all your kind!

usualsuspect · 31/07/2011 14:17

Didn't take long before a chav post did it

TidyDancer · 31/07/2011 14:24

Chav is entirely appropriate. That is a fucking awful name.

I would've said it's pronounced tbh.

FannyPriceless · 31/07/2011 14:26

I have just spat coffee at that name. OP, do you actually know these people? Or is it just a random name you saw written somewhere?

InstantAtom · 31/07/2011 16:41
Biscuit
sancerrre · 31/07/2011 17:13

I imagine it's pronounced in a loud screechy voice but slightly muffled due to fag hanging out of mouth.

ShowOfHands · 31/07/2011 17:17

Best to ask. A friend had a Mylea a while ago and I hoped for the best and went for 'Miley'. Nope.

alowVera · 31/07/2011 17:18

Tay-lar?
But doesn't the 2nd vowel change the sound of the 1st so maybe it is Ta-la?

Nagini · 31/07/2011 17:20

how does one pronounce mylea then show?

ShowOfHands · 31/07/2011 17:26

Oh I still don't get it tbh.

The lea bit is 'leah' and the 'my' is something like mi (short sound). I call her baby girl most of the time.

Nagini · 31/07/2011 17:30

me-lay?

Nagini · 31/07/2011 17:31

me-leee?

aliceliddell · 31/07/2011 17:32

Don't think so Nagini, that was a massacre in Vietnam

Nagini · 31/07/2011 17:39

alice you are expecting the namer to be aware of that? Wink

maybe meleé? you know like a meleé weapon?
