Zoyah
Eden
Jasmine
are all fairly unusual but not too much imo

tegan · 24/09/2005 06:39

I know my kids have unusual names but don't go for the celeb names as the kids in my dd's class have some classics and I always think of who they are named after and forget this little unique person

Thomcat · 24/09/2005 00:15

Ziggy (sort for Ziggoina)

Yeah, yeah, it's ok, everyone else I know hates it too, but I love it.

likklemum · 24/09/2005 00:04

My DS would have been Sienna Rose. Also like Saffron, Jasmine, Elola, Alliyah, Aisha.

tegan · 23/09/2005 22:20

my girls are Tegan Andrea and Sidney Marie which were both chosen by my dh

KateF · 23/09/2005 21:37

My dds are Isabella Sophie Elizabeth, Susannah Mary Louise and Philippa Lucy Jane. I still love all their names but sorry I didn't have chance to call one India - think it's a beautiful name.

jenkel · 23/09/2005 21:35

my dd is called jenna, dh loved it after the character in blakes 7

OMG, I've been reading that American names board and some of the names are horrific. I think my favourite was Catatonia Calliope. PMSL. Whatever you name your little girl, bunnyboo, it cannot be worse than that!

Merlot - I didn't realise Jenna was a popular name. FWIW, Jenna actually means Paradise in the Arabic language. I love it!

rodeo1 · 23/09/2005 20:23

Dyzzydi,

I think your names are fab! I also love Piper but no-one else does! Also love Robyn, Darcy and Renee from your list, and I do like the rest, maybe with the exception of Brooke and Logan, they remind me of American boy names!

My dd is Bella, Bel for short, think this one is a girl also (I'm 34 weeks) and I think we're decided on Jessie. Unless I can push Piper again

*Also a little tip - I've found that if dp says 'Oh no!' to a name, I leave it a good few weeks and then say 'Oh what about ......' to which he'll probably reply 'Oh, maybe'. Give it a couple more weeks and he'll say 'Yeah, that's nice'. Men eh? Or is it just mine??

It is hard..we don't want anything too common or too obscure..plus you have to think about what it will be shortened too as a nickname/pet name and how well it goes with the surname..it's impossible!

dyzzidi · 23/09/2005 16:49

Zippi

I know it is almost cruel to name her that! I am just getting so fed up with all my suggestions being turned down that I am looking for more obscure and funny names so DP eventually lets me choose one I like so long as its not an odd one.

I do like Parker but she will forever get nosey parker

I never thought names would be so hard!

Merlot · 23/09/2005 16:46

My friend has just had a little girl:-

Eliza

The other one which i've noticed is getting more popular is

Jenna
