Reuben.

I think of Reuben as being the Jewish version and Ruben as more Spanish/South American.

I have no idea if any of that is true mind Smile

Reuben. Ruben is just a spelling error, IMO.

But Google says:

Reuben.

I considered this name for my dd1 (iykwim). Definitely Reuben.

Lougle · 22/08/2010 15:59

A most exceptional thread, I'm not sure I've ever seen perfect consensus on MN before.

EricNorthmansmistress · 22/08/2010 18:53

Reuben in the UK. Ruben is the perfectly valid spanish equivalent, however, unless you are spanish, Reuben.

LetThereBeRock · 22/08/2010 19:09

Reuben.

mellymooks · 22/08/2010 21:33

Very interesting, thanks so much for your responses I prefer and think it should be Reuben but even after your responses the other half is adamant that Ruben is better, so frustratingly this has settled nothing and not sure we'll be having this name now as we can't agree at all, bloody hell choosing names is really hard!!

Ruben is also the German version. Spelled Reuben, Germans would pronounce it Roy-ben.
