There is a core of regular posters that are drawn to anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim threads and seem full of hatred and worse. I imagine them typing away with faces contorted in anger. They are almost obsessed by the topic and have lost all perspective about everything else going on in the world. They use these threads to spend hatred and are clearly not happy in their lives. I am so grateful that my world is not like this, and the people that live in it are not wired this way.

Groups of people committing a crime are criminals. They break the law by entering illegally. They are groups of criminals. Try entering Poland by breaking through their border - see what happens. The Polish Parliament approved the use of live ammunition on those who cross the border illegally - after one of their border guards was speared through. Yes, speared.

Data centres and AI in general literally drink the planet dry. The cost in water is huge and the amount of cooling agents/chemicals required to operate them is also a hazard. Not to mention the fact that data is a power hungry beast. Electricity costs are also massive and unless we finally find a way to make clean fusion energy, I can't see how that's not going to send CO2 emissions through the roof. All other measures like driving or flying less, recycling our waste etc are a tiny drop in the ocean compared to what AI is going to cost us very soon.

When calling people far-right, racist, fascist etc has lost all meaning and no longer has any impact they have to find different ways to shame you into silence. That's what you're seeing here. I suppose its better than being doused with boiling liquid as we've just seen in Holborn & St Pancras. I think the days of the left claiming the moral high ground are very much over now.

The interviewer discussed a secret school, showing footage, young girls taking chemistry classes. He didn’t like it. I am scared for the teacher from the school.

The planet is full of water though? The waste heat and whatnot can be recovered. Our grid is mostly low carbon anyway. Even if we need to use natural gas to power it it'll be fine, we are insignificant to global emissions.

Costs will fall in the future. We need to make this investment and have a good industry and progress.

It’s a horrific case. I don’t know what checks you think exist that could predict this awful crime though. A visa system can check past criminal records, not predict future ones.

I don’t use Deliveroo or any of the delivery platforms because of their awful records on illegal working. Hopefully those of you disturbed by illegal working are also voting with your feet.

Look I've not seen the issue but I think with careful planning and infrastructure management you can handle the stuff with water flow to houses

Well on the reading of the Aus system I found they have a specific visa for lone women who are subject to gender based violence. The UNHCR selects those who need refuge from refugee camps. They can bring dc.

They get passage, no trafficking risk of death on dinghies or sexual assault on the way. They are almost zero risk when here, and get to work. I can’t see why anyone would object to that.

I think mass immigration, both legal and illegal, is such a demonstrably awful policy that it relies on total narrative control. They HATE it when you question it because its impossible to defend so their only real hope is to shut the discussion down.

They shame you when you talk about it. They shame you when you pay attention to media reports of what members of their imported voting blocs are doing in this country. They shame you when you vote for a party that might do something about it. They shame you because they can't win the argument.

I’m in favour of out of country applications. I think there are difficulties in making it women and children only, For example, what happens when those women want to bring the fathers of those DC? It’s also likely to be more expensive - women and children needing housing and education, and mothers of young children work fewer hours and are eligible for more benefits. So yes, the fear of sexual violence is reduced but the actual cost may be greater. Both are used as arguments against the asylum system. And it still won’t stop people arriving on small boats.
