I was in the peak district visiting Buxton a few weeks ago and the amount of green spaces we encountered was staggering. With the right infrastructure in place there is no reason why we can't construct a couple of new towns in the Derbyshire Dales or High Peak constituencyies where refugees can be settled and homed safely at low cost.

Well I can only answer that by telling you that I've travelled solo in Pakistan and India (in my 20s) and I did not experience 'any 'horrific sexual assaults.' Yes there are risks. Yes it's different for women. But don't confuse 'different attitudes' with propensity for sexual assaults or rape. It is far from being that simplistic.

Every culture is different. sexual harassment takes many different forms - sometimes it's overt, other times more hidden. In Italy, for instance, you may get more of a certain type of verbal hassle from groups of men. Does this mean that Italians are more likely to be rapists than countries where men might be less overt with sexual comments / hassle in the street? In the U.K even, can we say that the certain type of white van-driving men who feel the need to shout sexualised comments at any female in the streets, is more likely to be a rapist?

All I can tell you that the sexualised violence I've experienced in my life was perpetrated by a family member and someone I went on a date with at uni.

Conflating men from countries where women may have more restricted roles and those 'more likely to rape' is nonsense. It's like saying that because Americans come from a culture where it's legal to carry guns, that we are at risk of being shot by Americans coming to the U.K.
