Why hasn’t Michael Jackson been cancelled??

It's not that we are defending him. It's that we believe he is innocent until proven otherwise. If there was a credible witness or victim that proves otherwise then I would change my view. Unt then innocent until proven guilty.

You are forgetting that Savills crimes were not "allegations", there were thousands of witnesses. With MJ, none of his accusations were turned into actual convictions, even now, after his death.

His supporters here are saying they are defending him because he was acquitted. There wasn't enough evidence

You posted yourself that more expert folk than us in court found him not guilty.

By that reasoning Saville was never in court so no matter if there were squillions of allegations hes never been found guilty?

So hy your own reasoning Saville is guilty but Muchael is not? Michael has accusers and I've no doubt there are others that just couldn't bring themselves to put themselves through it all.

Courts let guilty people go, OJ is the perfect example. Common sense and logic tells me Saville was guilty as was Michael.

I wonder what makes you think it likely that having survived cancer at 10 years old, which is how he crossed MJ’s path - he and his brother would bother to falsely accuse a global star and have to endure a court case over it.

You cant compare Saville with anyone - like I said, his crimes were not "allegations", they are a fact. There are witnesses and people literally saying he raped them and abused them in other ways. The stories and witness accounts never change and i doubt there would not be "not enough evidence" if he ever went to court. There would be too much evidence, if anything.

However, I watched a few films about him and all the allegations are kind of vague, and witness accounts change over time. It is also difficult as there were large sums of money involved and all of his accusers benefited financially from the situation. I have zero doubt if it all was clear cut he would have been convicted - it would have been hard not to.

I don’t understand the ‘he’s not a Saville’ arguement. In both cases, people have testified what has gone on. In the court of law, you only need one victim although more obviously helps to build a case. Yes, there is more evidence against Saville, but that doesn’t negate the fact that there is evidence against MJ.

When does an allegation become a fact?

Saville accusers say he ate blue smarties, therefore it must be true. MJ ‘s accusers say he ate blue smarties, but it may not be true. Same accusation, but different perpetrator. It it holds true for one, it holds true for both. (Obviously blue smarties analogy is made up).

He’s dead. The two men in Finding Nederland weren’t able to tell their stories until after he died. Very common in survivors of abuse.

I really believe he was a very sad individual who wanted to be a child and have a childhood as he was denied one, rather than seeing children in a sexual way. Despite his fame and fortune he was a very screwed up person mainly due to his cruel and abusive father. I haven't seen the film Michael yet but belive it highlights this.
