Why hasn’t Michael Jackson been cancelled??

I’ve been out at a 80s day disco today… loads of fun. But it struck me that people were still delighted by MJ… why? He was a wrong ‘un of the very worst kind. How come he hasn’t been cancelled?!

Anyone who can look at these photos and not see how creepy and predatory this man was is delusional.

On the one hand one can say he groomed the whole world.

On the other, he didn’t do it that well - I always thought he was a creepy weirdo.

Palomiino · 13/09/2026 11:18

I’m sure you will say this proves his innocence too.

I never understood how people could look at his face and not get massive ick.

He started off as a goodlooking black man and ended up a self-disfigured, drug-addicted ghoul.

Ooh just asked chat GPT about this and now I’m down a rabbit hole! Didn’t realise those two boys who testified that he never sexually abused him, went on to say that he did when they were adults. They felt that they were groomed and couldn’t testify against him. But the courts wouldn’t believe them now as they lied under oath, either as children or now as an adult so lost their credibility.

The behavioural panel on YouTube are four experts with a squillion years experience in military and anti military interrigation techniques and body language. They've written well respected books on the subject.

Their platform is examining interviews from famous cases Jon Bonet Ramsay, Prince Andrew and lots of very high profile cases, they did the mushroom lady killer, lots of others.

They studied these two young men and in their opinion they are truthful. One boy said he genuinely thought Michael loved him(then he got too old). The other boy (now young man) struggled terribly trying to talk about the physical details of it all.

No proof of course, but views from very well respected professionals.

Those with money often mix in similar circles as others with money so those photos don't mean anything. Also Michael passed long before everything about Epstein and Trump came out.

When Virginia Guiffre was awarded a squillion quid years later was ahe lying too?

Ok let’s try that on Saville!

He was amazing at what he did. He shaped popular culture. He raised millions for charity. He was never convicted of anything. Why can’t bbc show reruns of his top of the pop episodes and Jim will fix”.

Does not quite work does it

What doesn’t ‘work’??

It doesn’t really matter what he did in his lifetime. What’s your point?

MJ was tried and found not guilty in a court of law. Saville was never tried but the sheer volume and institutional validation of the evidence against changed the narrative from "suspicion" to "established fact" in a way that did not happen with Jackson.

The abuse happened in Epstein's house before we knew about it.

What was he doing on Epstein’s island? ‘Those with money’ no it’s perverts with money that all mix in similar circles.

Aussiesgettingsmashed · 13/09/2026 11:59

Also David Bowie

In fairness he would have had no interest in Epsteins island, Epstein favoured underage girls

And after all he had his own purpose built childrens fairground

Notsosweetcaroline · 13/09/2026 12:27

how do you cancel a dead person? Ban his music?

you can accept he was a paedo, but still appreciate the work he did. His music was fantastic, I have for example billie Jean on my play list, but me not listening to it, doesn’t change what he was, or what he did. I also don’t get the performative leaving the dance floor.

if he was alive, I’d not support him and buy anything he did. But dead, I can’t see the point, and the money goes ti his estate, not him.

he’s hardly like saville, who was clearly not anything more than a tv presenter.

Oh I see, for sexual abuse victims to be believed they have to be an awful a lot of them?

Quite enough of MJ’s victims must have come forward now for it to be very clear, and for people like you to have absolutely no excuse.

You don’t think it’s worth acknowledging that one of the most famous entertainers who ever lived was a paedophile? You don’t think it’s worth having a proper thorough full inquiry with all his victims encouraged to come forward in confidence.

To establish exactly what happened, how he managed to get access to so many children, how it was allowed to go on so long, how all of the warnings were ignored and covered up. For it finally to be acknowledged that every single one of his victims is actually telling the truth and all of the disgusting lies about their cases being for money and attention demolished. To ensure that what happened to to make sure it never, ever happens again.

You actually don’t think it’s worth doing that? Because hey he’s famous anyway so what?

Aussiesgettingsmashed · 13/09/2026 12:35

The Jackson Five were good but old wacko on his own? Bloody awful and how anyone can like his utterly shit music and overall Jimmy Savile weirdness appealing shows the utter stupidity of the general public.

You’re making your own narrative, I don’t say anything about the number of victims, merely the quality of evidence.

Listen, people in better positions to judge than you or me made a call that MJ wasn’t guilty in a court of law. The validity of the evidence discovered subsequently hasn’t been enough to overturn that. That isn’t the case with Saville.

I really don’t know why you think your opinion holds any weight here.

The majority of people with critical thinking skills hold a similar view to that poster.

Honestly I don't know how any grown adult with more than two brain cells to rub together can believe all that nonsense about "he was just an innocent little child in a man's body, they were only his friends", etc. It's so blatantly obvious what he was.

Whether you can separate the music from the person is a separate issue, but at least face up to reality.

Unfortunately it seems that there was more to Epstein’s island than even teenage girls (which was bad enough in itself).

However, I think that although he isn’t in the currently released flight logs, it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out he was there at some point.

Am I? Didn’t you?

No idea why you think a bunch of star struck US jurors are in a better position to judge than anyone else. Or why we aren’t entitled to our opinions.

I listened to an interview with one of the FBI agents who investigated the Gavin Arviso case, after Leaving Neverland came out. He said they knew MJ was guilty at the time and were in touch with other boys he had abused but they weren’t ready to testify against him. He felt that had Safechuck and Dobson testified with Arviso MJ would likely have gone to jail then.

I’d say he’s in a better position to judge than you.

One of the jurors said that he wanted to go home so voted not guilty.

People who worked for MJ alleged that he threatened them to keep their mouths shut about things they saw at Neverland. They were threatened by security people all the time.

Being found not guilty doesn’t show he was innocent within the context of all the other evidence there is that he molested children.

Sex offences are very difficult to prove and even the bar for a criminal trial would have to be high. Rapists get off all the time or don’t even get charged - do you think they are innocent, too??

you’re deluding yourself if you think he wasn’t a child molester.

It’s disgusting how we’ve got to a point of people like you saying that multiple accusers of a very similar narrative is not good evidence that something bad happened.

I don’t think you can listen to songs like ‘The Way you make me feel’ without being aware that these songs were likely about people too young to consent.

Yeah, maybe skip that one.
