This is utter nonsense. RKelly was one of the most successful artists of his time. He continued selling records after a sex tape of him pissing on a 14 year old was released on the internet. SNL did a sketch about it. He topped the charts in the months and years following. I remember I believe I can fly and ignition from the my childhood. He was convicted for child pornography the same year ignition came out.

He doesn’t fill dance floors any more because he’s in prison and for some reason that seems to be the only thing that will actually stop radio stations/DJs. In no way was ever close to ‘fading away’. His songs are just as good now as they were then.

The teens of today play Jackson because the Jackson family have devoted their lives to keeping him culturally relevant.

I was 💯 sure that he was guilty too. I didn’t listen to his music for years and years. I have went down a bit of a rabbit hole about it recently.
I think he was set up, he was foolish to ever have sleepovers with children, who does that? It’s 💯 strange but not sure if it was from a place of lust. Looking back on his interview with Oprah and many others, he was like a child trapped in a man’s body. He was surrounded by toxic men and women in a toxic environment, one that was full of child sexually abusing people.
If my child had an abundance of talent I wouldn’t want them going into the industry of Holly Babylone of filth.

My theory is that is music is too well-loved for a lot of people to go there snd admit the truth about him. (Also, he has a lot of fans that seem completely deluded about him). Like, let's face it, nobody cares too much that Rolf Harros' or Gary Glitter's back catalogues have disappeared off the airwaves... but MJ's would indeed be a loss.
I think that people should be allowed to keep the art (if they want to listen) but should slso face up to the truth.
My string quartet ditched our version of Smooth Criminal, and I wish we hadn't because a) it's a great tune and b) his music definitely hasn't been cancelled.
But for those of you thinking he's not guilty or it's not proven and is just a handful of accusations.... look up the episode of 60 Minutes on youtube where they interview ANOTHER family who were all groomed and abused by him. He knew these kids so well, since the youngest was 2 years old, they were siblings and he was like the fun uncle, their best friend... he sexually abused all 4 of them over YEARS including the girl and each of thrm at the time thought they were the only one. The grooming was insane and for YEARS so of course they all trusted him. He started abusing each of them when they were between 8 to 11.
The similarities with the other accusations are striking.
If you watch these now adult siblings telling their stories and see the pain in their eyes you will know they are telling the truth. I think the victims need to be heard. How can MJ fans discount them?

At the ssme time, I still love the tunes! I think that should be a separate thing. I also still love Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland too even though the authors were probably dodgy....

She was part of a fanily of 3 or 4 and he abused all them (1 sister and the rest brothers) after years and years of grooming.

The grooming was insane, it's playing the long game... he gained their trust and love for YEARS. Just like he groomed the families and the world to accept his weird behaviour with children ...
