AIBU to share this Reform exposé from C4?

To share this fantastic documentary exposing Reform for the crooks and traitors that they really are. Thank you for sharing @ihateboris

From today’s Times.

“The Met Police’s special inquiry team is conducting an assessment of the allegations and is expected to decide within days whether to begin a formal, criminal investigation, a move thought to be likely. “

of course they have a current, open investigation in to Fiona and George Cottrell for doing the exact same thing shown in the Channel 4 report.

Honestly, @Florenceeiderduck , ditch Farage.

There are a lot of sincere people in Reform, who genuinely want to make the country better – even if they don't have magic wands any more than anyone else.

But Nigel Farage brings you down.

He's surrounded by these dishonest characters – many of whom have no commitment to the UK at all. Cottrell lives in Montenegro, Harborne lives in Thailand. Even Richard Tice lives half the time in Dubai where his fiancée and her children have moved full-time.

Farage can't seem to shake off his old pals – even when they're jailed for fraud like Cottrell.

Reform will get nothing done while it's All About Nigel.

And it raises another question.

If Reform DON'T feel they can ever ditch Farage, does that mean their ideas aren't good enough? That they believe no one would vote for their ideas?

That people are only voting for a single man?

A party which is confident it is doing the right thing should be able to choose which of its members is leader. If there's no possibility of choice, that starts to look less like a party and more like an individual's personality cult.

Like I said, I do believe there are many genuine, very sincere people at the grassroots of Reform.

The upper echelons... don't feel the same.

There was no "assault" by Reform supporters on a female protester.
She was removed by security because she was becoming loud, aggressive and disruptive.
If she got hurt she brought it on herself by behaving like a female thug.

Because it strikes me that if they want to there would need to be some urgency seeing as it's the actual leader that's in question and it wouldn't make sense to await the conclusion by that leader. Given the concerns about Farage Don't they need to freeze assets or something so the evidence is preserved?

No, so far, they have stated that they are assessing the evidence. But it's hard to see how they could not investigate, given the strength of the evidence.

There is already another criminal investigation underway into the Cottrell donations, so not sure if they will open a new one or potentially expand the scope of the existing one.

I guess the police will need to assess the existing evidence carefully to ensure that there is robust justification for committing the resource for a full investigation. They will be very mindful of ensuring that anything they do can't be misconstrued as being politically motivated - and we know that Reform will definitely seek to make that case, so the police need to ensure that their own position is watertight.

Farage and co were invited to comment on the C4 investigation before it aired, so I imagine that any evidence which could be destroyed would have been zapped before the story even broke.

I am not talking about security officers. There is footage of Reform supporters assaulting her, grabbing at her face, pulling her hair etc.

Reform supporters seem to be very angry people.

Disruption at conferences is par for the course. It's been happening for years, if Reform want to be a serious party they need to understand that it will happen to them too. Problem is they're the snowflakes, despite claiming that everyone else is!
