Which burger would you prefer?-Cultural differences?

Option A: Bbq burger on a burger bap with cheese, ketchup, salad, wedges and corn on the cob

Option B: Grilled burger (no bap etc) with plain pasta and salt

We had Dds friend over for lunch after Dd asked her if she wanted to come for burgers and toasted marshmallows. She was quite confused about the burger as has it like option B at home, aside from at McDonald’s.

Which burger do you prefer and can anyone guess which country we’re in?

I am going to confess that I have been known to eat a burger accompanied by a packet of Super Noodles 😱
AKA "all I could find in the cupboard".

I didn’t say it was. He was just a child from the south coast who really liked a burger with plain pasta. I’ve met a lot of children from all parts of the uk that really like a plain burger and plain pasta! Probably more than those who like it in a bun. One side of my family are not from the UK and where I’m from we tend to have the burger in its own so it didn’t sound that odd to me!!

That's just insane.

A hamburger is a beef patty on a bun, with or without accoutrements.

A meat patty or beef burger is a similar flat beef or pork thing that can be served with a baked potato and salad if you're a Nana in the UK in 1981.

A burger cooked on a BBQ goes on a roll with cheese and no other option here 😂

I'd ban all the revolting slime too @MrsAvocet - it isn't allowed in my house.

I think what we can conclude from this thread is that serving plain pasta as a carb instead of potatoes seems to be pretty common in lots of countries, and perhaps we are the weird ones in the UK…

When I was a child if people had burgers at home they were usually served with chips or mash - no buns.
Unless it was very specifically a BBQ. Then you got a bun.
(which was probably once a year when relatives came over on the august bank holiday 😂)
My daughter likes to eat burgers with rice. Even if at a BBQ. No buns for her. Even at McDonald's or Burger King she doesn't eat the bun.
Never had burger with pasta. Although whats the difference really between meatballs and pasta vs burger and pasta other than the shape of the squished up meat 🤔
Conclusion.....
Does it matter?

Ooohh, I love a burger, chips and beans 😋.

Otherwise, option A but only with sliced gherkins and mayo too 😋.

I'm British and if someone offered me a burger I'd expect Option A but I'd prefer B. Well ideally I'd opt for a hybrid version and add salad to B and I wouldn't have salt. If I ever go to McDonalds or similar I order the burger plain in a bread roll but with none of the other disgusting stuff in it. If I ruled the world I'd ban ketchup, mayonnaise and all other similar revolting, slimey substances. 🤮
