WIBU to call out a man for using ladies loo?

I know the set up you mean, we were in a services years ago where both ‘sides’ had disabled loos but only the ladies side had a baby change.

I emailed to say that it was unacceptable for men with babies to be expected to go on the ladies side to use the baby change and the response was that the baby change was not ‘in’ the ladies but adjacent. It was two corridors with colour coded lighting heading for each loo with the disabled/baby change about half way to the loos. To us, the whole yellow lit corridor was fairly obviously ‘the ladies’ with the blue lit corridor being ‘the mens’ but apparently not according to the company.

No male and have met a lot of sick fucks who appeared completely normal until they opened up.... needless to say a couple got a smack

Have you people never been into a motorway service station?! This is a pretty standard arrangement in all the modern ones - both the men's and women's toilets have a disabled/baby changing cubicle

it sounds to me like it was a disabled cubicle at the end of the corridor past the ladies toilets rather than actually being part of the ladies toilets. Badly designed maybe but as anyone who needs to use disabled toilets knows that’s par for the course!

Toilets aren't just for urinating though so the stand up explanation is void.

I think it’s disgusting, creepy and a boundary violation that any man would do this. Isn’t that illegal? Even if it is a single occupancy toilet, women can’t hold as long as men and there’s no excuse for taking a facility that was designated for female use. Men can also pee standing up so they are at an advantage when it comes to being able to relieve themselves. Not that women should need an excuse. No means no. Simple as

He should not have to. There are only disabled toilets in the UK. Not sex specific ones, unless, of course the OP is posting from another Country.

The reason for that, however, is the lack of equitable provision that could be assured through something similar to America's quarter of a century old "potty parity" laws. If you think this is a gotcha, it's a really bad one.

Why should he have to explain himself?

Jeez, maybe he just saw the sign for the disabled loo and assumed it was positioned just past the Ladies sign but was actually for everyone’s use?

Given the total lack of voyeuristic behaviour, is that not more likely than a perverts first attempt at voyeurism??

Why so quick to judge someone who may well have a hidden disability and/or making a mistake when finding the disabled loo - it sounds like an odd set up to have a differentiated gender specific disabled and baby change so he could have just not appreciated there was another one on the Men’s side!

He was using the disabled toilet. I don't know where these toilets are, with such a set up as the OP describes. I have never seen it. Maybe the OP would enlighten us all! Otherwise I think it is just another thread to get people frothing, as usual.

Just because someone is walking doesn’t mean they’re not disabled and could wait if the male disabled toilets were occupied.

He didn’t have to walk past any females. We don’t know if perhaps the mens were full and he was desperate or unwell. Sometimes when you gotta go, you gotta go.

My son is abit oblivious and would see just the disabled sign.

Why you think he should of apologised is beyond me.

Very unusual to have separate male and female disabled/baby change toilets.

But since they're completely separate with floor to ceiling walls and a lockable door, I couldn't get aeriated about it.

The sooner we get individual cubicles with wash basins the better.
I frequently go to the theatre and recently have seen trans women in the queue - I didn't feel threatened or uncomfortable and I was with my young teenage daughter.
At least urinals in this country are often deep into the gents - the french ones are very open and you can often see men standing there having a pee.

Where are these toilets?

I have never seen a disabled toilet only for each sex to use. Just disabled toilets, full stop. I would like to know exactly where this strange set up was. I won't be holding my breath though.

He was putting all us "Ladies" in our place! It was a deliberate act to say Women don't have any right to privacy and his needs come before ours!
