There was one for flooding in Manchester New Year 2024/25. I think that was the first use of the system “in anger”, but this may be the first national one.

Damn. Given my work phone went off before my personal one, my first thought was that the hospital had finally found a way to send crash calls directly to our phones, and I needed to leg it in. Glad it wasn't!
