BBB - eng lit, sociology and history Was so sad, I wanted aab 💐💐 for those of us who get mild ptsd whenever results day rolls around

😄😄😄 I do as I always feel sad I didnt achieve the As

For sociology i was the best in class! But I missed one class where the main topic was covered and fucked up the exam 💔

AAAA Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Studies. No A stars in those days but I did do 2 Special papers and got a 1 for Chemistry and a 2 for Biology which still galls me a bit as I much preferred Biology to Chemistry and I think I was better at it.

Still got into Edinburgh Uni, got a post grad qualification and am a decently senior finance manager (I'm actually more senior than I would like to be)

So kids- honestly don't worry- it's not the be all and end all!

Same here I regret not doing the work - was capable of the As

But it worked out in the end!

I got a C in Psychology and a C in English Language.

French was too hard so I stopped after Year 12 and got an E for the AS Level. So because I had a gap in my timetable, I had to pick up another AS level in Year 13. I chose General Studies (!) and got a B.

I had expected 3 F's so opening that envelope was like winning the lottery. My poor friend though who needed 3 C's for university failed two of hers and her parents were horrible about it. I was so taken up comforting her that I didn't really ever celebrate mine, and my parents certainly weren't interested

Oh how sad re the parents 🥺

ABB English literature, French, history, plus an S level grade 1 in English literature and a fail in creative writing supplementary paper. In 1979, there were very few As so I was over the moon. No predicted grades then. A friend from England phoned me with the results as I was being a holiday cook and sand sweeper in France. I told the family's adorable five-year old, who said 'Does that mean you can stay?' I said that it meant the reverse, and that I had to leave, to go to university.

My overachieving perfectionist teen-self was furious 😂. It was the first year A*s were available at A level (which just split the existing A grade, rather than shifting boundaries down) so if I’d done them a year earlier it would have been three top grades, and that thoroughly annoyed me.

I got grade "N".
Which apparently is better than a complete fail (grade U) but not a pass.
I assume it stands for "Nearly But Not Quite" 😂
I had no plans to go to uni.
I only stayed on a school because I didn't want to leave. I wasn't cut out for A-Levels and really shouldn't have done them.
