First I thought Japan and busking (the Japanese love English music). Then I thought maybe South USA for some southern hospitality and maybe my British accent would get me some free drinks?

Somehow, in a mythical world where I was dropped without any money into any country of my choice I didn't think we were considering legal practilities. But if we were, I guess I'd have 90 days to earn enough cash in hand to pay for my transit back home to my family, home and money. France would still be the best bet, as I speak the language, and the journey home would be cheap!

Canada. many of them speak the same language as me (English) and if I get dropped in a French speaking part of the country, my French is good enough to get by. Also I feel I would be looked after. I don't know what I would do to get by, apart from casual work, maybe moose grooming, or collecting sap from maple trees.

For you “all migrants get benefits” lot.

It’snot that simple, I occasionally have to support migrants, most get nothing more than asylum payments.

A friend of mine living here from Nigeria has three children, his wife was British and he was working 50 hr weeks, no need for benefits. He is high and dry after the sudden death of his wife. Three children under 7 to support and no state help until he can get leave to remain which he has long ago applied for but it’s now urgent.

So don’t tell me “they get everything “ because you just show the level of your ignorance,

It would make sense for it to be somewhere with a strong British tourism industry, easy to pick up casual waitressing/bar/promo rep work , probably a Greek island just because I'd like to be there anyway. Alternatively probably Germany, I speak German, have some German qualifications and they are fairly open to immigration

make a new claim each week - until they agree you’re habitually resident
challenge each decision that you’re not habitually resident

Keep doing this until they agree you’re habitually resident.

Ghana. I'd likely be adopted and eventually waddle out of my rescue a stone heavier. You want a place with hospitable people and good food.

Paris, France. I have only been once, but I was offered a job on my first day there by a very smart older woman as I was sitting in a square waiting for my OH to get some drinks.
Later my OH said it was in Paris's red-light district.

New Zealand. We were offered a car to borrow twice when we were there by strangers. It's a high trust society, and quite a few hippy communities. Don't think it would take me long to get to one.

Hardly any police, most crime appears to have been decriminalised so there would be no punishment for stealing, or very little and even if you go to prison, they're pretty cushy compared to other countries so yes it would have to be the UK.
Japan would just kick you right out OP. They are very strict about who they let reside in their country.
