NDN using our allocated parking space, not their own!

Our neighbours have started using our allocated parking space instead of their own allocated parking space.

We've spoken to them but they have continued. The view of their space is not a clear line of vision.

What to do next???

Yes, we all love a diagram. But do we really need one? NDN cannot see their space from their window, so have taken it upon themselves to use OP’s instead.

If you are bored.

A large piece of plain wallpaper on which you write ‘ please do not park in my space’, then liberally spread with paste and placed over the drivers’ side of the windscreen. Rinse and repeat until they stop. I’m guessing after they’ve had to take a scraper to the windscreen one or twice they’ll get the message.

Is it a new or relatively new build? If so, can you download the conveyancing map, which will show allocated parking and how much there is for each property.

When you need to park and their car is in your space, then park in their parking space.

The best way to deal with this is to completely dig up your parking space under cover of darkness, to a depth of about twelve feet. Then cover the hole with a grey tarpaulin, so that it looks like a normal parking space. When your neighbour next parks there, they drive into the hole, you fill in with cement, and boom - problem solved. HTH.

You could try mediation or could you block their car in. If they have to approach you and ask you to move your car every time they need to leave, it may take the shine off your space.

These neighbours are so entitled. Block your space when they go out next. Or install a security bollard. Why do they need a clear line of vision? Is their car very expensive? If it is, they could get some dash and rear cameras installed and move back to their own space. And tell the other neighbours what these people are doing.

Or you could be reasonable and just use a bollard like everyone has suggested.

I have had to out something in my morning space as a “this is mine back off” for the same reason. If I get back and they were parked there I wound just block them in.

Take photographs document timings. See a solicitor, take them to court and reclaim expenses from them. They have their house as an asset.

I’d be knocking everytime or just sit there beeping. Other neighbours will understand if you let them know in advance why you are doing it.

We use ours all the time, we're always coming and going.

What if you use theirs? Is that a big inconvenience? If not then I'd just do that. They can hardly stop you If they think they can do just that.

If they've got someone else associated with their house parked in theirs and they're nicking yours then that's not acceptable.

I guess you need to block it off somehow. And speak to the council as I presume the parking spaces are in the public street?

You dont pay any sort of Estate Management fee if so whoever you pay it to should get involved

Otherwise do you have legal cover anywhere?

not giving a diagram is one thing, but not to give more detail is beyond the pale.

how long has this been going on? Did they park in their own originally? Where do they park if your car is already in your spot? Where do you park if they are in your space? What is the visitors loophole? What do they say when you ask them to move?
