I know I’m being stupid but. Me and my fella have just split up after 4 years together.
my dad now lives with me and I do help care for him will I ever ever ever find someone that understands and wants to be with me when this is my situation? I mean in the future not yet?

WMYHWS:

"I would. Because look, I'd probably go out with someone who had a kid, and that kid will very probably outlive you. A parent usually does not so it isn't even going to be for life. And it shows she's the family sort so yeah, if she was precious I'd keep her.".

How old is your dad? If he is very elderly you will likely not have time for a relationship. Looking after very elderly people is a 24/7 commitment. Many/most carers even have to give up their jobs.

If he's had to move in with you I assume a lot of care. When will you have time to meet or date someone.

It's lovely you are caring for dad. Focus on that for now but try to carve out time for yourself too. Do you have siblings who can regularly help?
