Wouldn't normally ask medical stuff as I know that's what doctors are for but something on my ultrasound report is annoying me because I can't find ANYthing about it online. My next appointment isn't for another couple of months so I'm just looking for any info from anyone who might have some experience in pelvic ultrasounds.
I had a transvaginal ultrasound to investigate both irregular bleeding and also struggling to conceive. The report seemed normal apart from one small fibroid on one side. However, something else that caught my eye was regarding my ovaries. Firstly, they seem small (about 3cc each) and also one of them was 'seen in the cul de sac'. This wasn't really picked up as anything significant but I've looked at a diagram and again I know I'm not a medical professional but it seems very far away from where they're supposed to be. I'm worried it might be a big sign for endometriosis or something, since that can often cause issues in the cul de sac area..I know the positions of the ovaries can vary but it does seem far away even so. Is there anyone around who can tell me if this is a common finding or is it quite unusual?
I am one to worry and I do let my worries run away with me, not going to hide it I just hope there might be someone who can offer some information at all..
