Please don’t respond by telling me not to do this and reminding me what women are far more than just their bodies because that is obviously true and I know that…. I just want to feel happy and attractive in my own body, and currently I don’t.

I've always had really tiny boobs (28C/30B which actually looks like an A cup) and have always really disliked them. I know it's really silly but I just feel like less of a woman with them being this small. They used to be even smaller when I had anorexia years ago as a teen, they were a 28B (looks like a small A).

I want to be seen as sexy and desirable by the right man and I don’t see that happening with small breasts. Please don’t say sexiness is an attitude because we all know there is a strong visual element to it for men, it’s clear, and boobs are a big draw for them.

I just want some cleavage. Has anyone had breast implants and how did it go?

thanks. X

Breast enlargements are so outdated. I know two women getting theirs removed, at great cost.

And I know several getting them taken out and reimplanted with fresh ones soooo

I'm going to get mine done when I'm 50, but I'm going to get a reduction and a lift at the same time. I was that girl in class who developed earlier than everyone else and they never seemed to stop growing. I essentially need a hammock and not a bra these days and they are out of proportion to the rest of me. I don't want to be saggy anymore - you can't exercise your boobs smaller! - I don't want to buy clothes that are 3x sizes too big on top just to fit and I would quite like to sleep on my front for once... not to mention getting rid of the backache. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Just make sure you do your research, shop around but don't go cheap, go with someone you trust and that has a good track record, and that you are doing it for yourself, 100% just for you.

I had mine in in 2011. I have zero regrets, one of the best gifts I gave myself! I had an ultrasound last year for unrelated reasons and the consultant said they still look great. The advice is no longer that they need to be repeated every 10 years and that she’s seen women who had them done well who have had them in for 30 plus years.

My advice is you get what you pay for - go for a good well recommended surgeon. I had a friend who prioritised cost and ended up having three surgeries. Spending more on someone very well recommended ultimately saves you money in the long run, and it’s just not something to cut corners on.

The other advice I have is expect to be pretty immobilised the first week. I saw one surgeon who made it sound like a breeze. The second surgeon (who did my surgery and was head of the British association of plastic surgeons at the time) warned me it would really hurt, breast tissue is some of the most sensitive tissue. You really need at least 10 days off work. Mine wasn’t even sub muscular btw and it still was hard getting up and down. By two weeks I was pretty much back to normal but still sore and by a month I felt fine (and I moved house a month after)

Also this is obvious but make sure you see before and after photos of the surgeons work

I did mine at 21 and went from a microscopic 32A (if that) to a 32DD. My implants were 385cc. People asked me afterwards if I’d lost weight as ironically I finally looked in proportion with the rest of my body! Finally found dresses that fit me on the top and bottom etc

Finally - you just know when it’s the right thing for you, so sod any judgment you get. Go to a good surgeon and enjoy your new additions!!! Xx

edit just to add: the advice is no longer that it needs to be repeated every 10 years provided there are no issues (encapsulation or tears in the implant eg). Again you get what you pay for and investing upfront saves in the long run. Mine were £7900 in 2011

NewDogOwner · 08/08/2026 17:04

You need to plan a budget so you can pay to have them replaced every 10 years. It's not a one and done.

TickedOffAndALittleFedUp · 08/08/2026 17:00

Forgot to message I've also had 3 babies since and breastfed all 3 without any problems.

TickedOffAndALittleFedUp · 08/08/2026 16:59

Had mine done about 32yrs ago with silicone over the muscle. Was a spur of the moment decision and I picked a clinic out of the back of a magazine. I'm slimmer now than I was, they're a little bigger than I'd choose now and with hindsight I wouldn't do it but they've been no problem and I won't have them removed unless I have to. They do balance my figure better and DH loves them. I've had 3 mammograms and no issues.

Purplecatshopaholic · 08/08/2026 16:57

If you want a boob job op, go for it. But do it for you. Not for a man.

Newsenmum · 08/08/2026 16:43

daisydaisydais128 · 08/08/2026 09:12

No, I’m not saying that relationships are only about the physical, but physical attraction is an important part of it and I do want a man to be attracted to me. I think smaller breasts are a huge flaw for a lot of men.

Are you quite slim?

RominaDina · 08/08/2026 16:40

Lemonymint · 08/08/2026 02:44

I was a 32AA when I was a young woman. Honestly, not meaning to sound conceited, I had a lot of men interested in me. Nobody even mentioned my breast size. My mother and I once had to flee a supermarket because of the number of men leering at me - I wasn't wearing anything revealing either. I mean I'm not saying looks don't matter because they do. I don't think your chest size is keeping you from finding true love though.

You actually had to flee a supermarket? What actually happened?

Maddy70 · 08/08/2026 16:37

I had a mastectomy , the reconstruction on that and an implant bin the other for symatrey. They will need to be replaced further down the line but they are fine but clothes fit differently and that needs to be taken into account

LlynTegid · 08/08/2026 15:49

I wish you did not feel the way you do OP. If you do decide eventually to have the procedure, don't add too much, the proportion comments I agree with.

Tink3rbell30 · 08/08/2026 15:48

Oh dear. Small boobs aren't a flaw and surely you wouldn't want to be with a man who thinks of them as that anyway?

MightyGoldBear · 08/08/2026 09:44

I'd be pausing and having a little therapy to just discuss your views, history and what you're looking to achieve.
I think it's best to look at the reality of what the possible outcomes could be.
If you go ahead I'd really suggest keeping in proportion with your body and not going too big.

Whilst I haven't had a boob job my boobs have grown since having children. Bigger than I'd like. Although before when I was younger I was desperate for bigger boobs, thought I'd feel sexier and clothes would look nicer the answer to all my problems. In reality I prefer my old boobs. Big boobs need big bras that don't feel sexy. Clothes don't fit or hang nicely. I feel frumpy and matronly. I easily look bigger than I am because of my chest, more 14 to 16 than the 10/12 I am. How would you feel if you looked one or two sizes bigger than you are? I spend my life hiding them because to "show them off" feels too boobie/inappropriate just doesn't feel nice.

With My smaller boobs I had the option of wearing a nice padded bra that gave the look I liked without any of the faff backache and frumpyness. With big boobs I can't do much with them they are what they are. I feel like they just get in the way now.

Labracadabradorr · 08/08/2026 09:40

I had mine done eight years ago, I had nothing left after breastfeeding two kids and I hated what I looked like in the mirror.

i had mine under the muscle as I had nothing for them to sort of blend into so couldn’t have over the muscle which is apparently a less painful procedure.

The pain after the op was awful, burning pain for about three weeks where my muscles were repairing themselves, and recovery took a long time.

However, I have absolutely zero regrets! They still look perfect eight years on and now they just feel part of me and totally normal!

I do sleep in a sports bra every night, both for comfort and to try to prevent sagging etc, but again that’s so much a part of my nightly routine I couldn’t sleep without a sport bra on now 🤣

I went to a private hospital (Nuffield) rather than one of the many cosmetic surgery clinics as I felt there would be less pressure etc.

couldn’t fault the hospital at all 😌

PermanentTemporary · 08/08/2026 09:22

I’m considering a fat transfer job but that’s for shape not size as such as I get older. Tbh I think I’m too cheap to spend the money.

The women I know with small breasts have men chasing them all the time, if that’s what they want… confidence is everything.

If I were your surgeon I’d be a bit concerned at your history but I hope you find what you are looking for.

Screamingabdabz · 08/08/2026 09:20

Both my dds (early and mid twenties) have small boobs and they have no shortage of male admirers. They are not settling. The key is self esteem, not the size of the cleavage.

Summerhillsquare · 08/08/2026 09:15

daisydaisydais128 · 07/08/2026 22:02

I know that some men will shag anything, but I don’t want to be settled for like that to be honest.

I am intrigued. What else would a man (the right man you say) like, if he likes surgical enhancement or would only go out with a woman with prominent breasts?

daisydaisydais128 · 08/08/2026 09:12

starlightstarbright6 · 08/08/2026 02:50

So, what if they only went for you because you had a big chest? You getting implants does not solve that problem. Your comment seems to imply it is all about the body.

You want them to be with you for who you are, not to “settle” for small boobs or for the clincher to be having big boobs. I’m not understanding how this solves anything.

From someone who has a similarly small chest - completely understand your feelings, just not your reasoning

I was a 32a/b and had them done 4.5 years ago now. I love them. Absolutely love them.

At first they were very swollen and large. It took a good 6-12m before they looked settled and natural and perfect.

I had 285cc motiva over the muscle. Downtime was minimal (I was 30 years old for reference) now I’m 32D. Perfect for my frame (maybe a touch on the large side for my frame from a natural perspective but they don’t look fake- if that makes any sense.

They often look awful. Men aren’t settling if they are with someone with a small chest. Some men don’t like bigger boobs. And men who aren’t shallow won’t care either

bittertwisted · 08/08/2026 02:19

I had small implants and an uplift 10 years ago through Spire. I absolutely love them, mine were a disgusting shape, with massive nipples. It wasn’t about big it was about nice, I have never once regretted it

Ghostiescotchie · 08/08/2026 00:30

You’ll love it. Just do it at a reputable hospital like the Nuffield

Empress13 · 08/08/2026 00:27

Genuine question how does one feel for lumps especially if bedded in deep? That alone would deter me tbh especially having BC in the family
