AIBU to question whether B Corp firms offer value for money?

Hi all,

Recently DH has been getting some quotations for work to be done in his office from "Certified B Corps".

DH says that the quotations from "B Corps" are 100% higher than quotations from normal companies. DH also says that the people are "wishy washy" and "totally ridiculous".

Are B Corps bullshit?

There are so many B Corps across various sectors it's impossible to lump them all in together - some will be great and some will be terrible. Just like other businesses really.

I work for a B Corp and did in my last company too, I'd definitely not consider anyone wishy washy. Both are hugely profitable customer facing businesses in a very crowded and competitive industry, they'd go under if there weren't any good!

Are you sure this isn't some prejudice showing and he assumes anyone who cares about social and environmental responsibility is wishy washy?
