Black out blinds

AIBU in wanting reasonably priced black out blinds for less than £160? Ones that slide up and down and block all light? About 90cms X 90cms

Has anyone bought a good one? At a reasonable price?

Definitely not a roller blind!!

I looked at Bloc but so expensive and also clunky looking with the cassette at the top and side strips.

We have Easyblackoutblinds - very simple just stick velcro pads to the corners of your window frame and then cut their special velcro friendly blackout fabric to fit. They also sell magnetic tie things so you can roll them up halfway rather than having to take the whole thing down every day. Cheap and effective. Also you can take them down entirely in the winter, roll up for storage and just have the velcro pads left (if you have white windows then white velcro is almost invisible). The only issue is I have had to replace the sticky velcro pads occasionally as they can come off in very hot weather. But no big deal.

Blocblinds are amazing. The cassette ones, made to measure. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ikea also do great block out curtains to really black out the room.

We have the bloc ones too, they’re well worth the money!

For the sleep it’s so worth it but honestly Ikea are also really good. Sorry I haven’t got any more ideas
