AIBU to cry with the never ending hot weather affecting my health

As in my username. This UK summer has been horrible with high humidity and temperatures. It has affected my asthma badly. I heard next week is going to be back to high 20s C. Can’t be doing this anymore!

I have followed the tips of keeping cool but living in a first floor flat with another floor above. I can’t afford the cost of moving as it’s my own flat.

Spend the hot days inside as I’m very worried that spending time outside will make me ill.

Trying to get a GP appointment (the 8am scramble) to see if they can do anything. Asthma has been better controlled since the new inhaler. But its the humidity is still a big issue.

Been abroad and never had an issue with both hay fever and asthma.

This summer has been horrible. My mum's asthma has been really bad too even though she has followed all the advice about keeping cool. Her gp has been useless and that is putting it politely.

Of course not unreasonable, this summer has been a tough one for lots of people - the reality of the climate situation is now visible. Having ongoing health problems is draining.

Can you afford air con in one room? If you get one space where you'll be comfortable you might feel less upset.

But yes speak to your GP too.

Get a dehumidifier? Great for sucking moisture out of the air year round and not expensive to run.
