To complain that the reproductive organs have a stupid design

Just a rant, really.
I hate everything about my reproductive organs, they've given me nothing but grief. Painful periods for years and after putting up with what I was told was 'normal' I'm now looking at infertility as it transpires I have likely had endometriosis all this time. Now I despair and worry but more than that I feel ANNOYED.
I don't believe in an God or anything so I know I'm effectively shouting at the randomness of evolution/into the void but I need to get it off my chest.
WHAT EVEN ARE THE FALLOPIAN TUBES, SERIOUSLY? If they can be so easily damaged by inflammation and rendered useless WHY DEVELOP THEM. Just seems such a pointlessly complicated system for what is basically a very fundamental biological process.
Once I have children, if I ever do, I'm going to have a hysterectomy and if they let me keep my uterus this is what I'm going to do with it:

Because strongly encouraging women to give birth in midwives centres, where epidural is not an option, and waiting to transfer them to a suitable facility where more often than not they are told' "it's too late"
I am sure something could be improved there.

Women do get told that epidurals aren't possible when they chose that option though. We don't get many transferring in to LW for an epidural though from experience. If a woman thinks it's something they might want the LW or an in-hospital BC is probably a better starting point than a BC out in the sticks. For the women that arrive on LW too late for an epidural it can be worth exploring whether reminfentanil's an option (LW only, and not available everywhere yet) - it can be really useful in that scenario.

I agree.From personal experience i can confirm there is NOTHING natural about pushing a human out of your vagina.The lack of control of your body is traumatising.

Endometriosis is a fucking design fault. The surgeon said it was like someone had poured superglue in me. Not to mention the irony of looking pregnant with swelling while being unable to get pregnant

I'm sorry that you've suffered too. It seems like a particularly jarring 'design' fault. Especially as it's so common. The only reason I can think of evolutionarily is having fewer kids means that those you do have would have access to more resources and more likely to thrive, bit of a stretch, though.

Yes it's believed to be more apparent as the more babies you would have had would have slowed the progress of the disease and prevented it from getting quite so bad. However it's likely always been around in some form and would still have varied from individual to individual, so it's interesting to wonder about why. It just seems much more common than other 'random' diseases. 1 in 10 is extremely high.

Can i add how it takes around 18 years for them to be vaguely self-sufficient too.

Would be so much more efficient if we were like swans and chased them away after a year or so.

I have enjoyed all of these improvements we have suggested. I only wish there was someone to present them to!

They won’t let you keep it because it’s a biohazard.

I wanted to see my hip joint after it was replaced, they refused, stating it was a biohazard.

Why does a great big polar bear give birth to babies that could fit in your hand and only weigh about 2 pounds at birth when we have to push out heads the size of side plates?
