AIBU to think Jess should identify her ex after passport update?

That was the night before the holiday.

Remember this is all just what she has said happened. There was a photo of a bag with cooked chicken in it which the passports were supposedly in as well, but that could have been put there by anyone, including her or Mr Jess if we’re really being cynical

I think her ex is probably a complete dickhead like she says he is but I also agree with @Mamaofrory that it wouldn’t surprise me if some of these stories are heavily embellished for the views. But then I am always skeptical of believing everything people say on social media as I think we all should be

The passports were in a bag with the cooked chicken. He knew what he was doing. He was hoping they’d be ruined and unusable because he is vile.

he said he put them in a plastic bag and the chicken was in the plastic bag. There were screen shots where her husband had photos of the chicken in the plastic bag that he was sending her

If he did then that’s really odd but he said he’d put them behind the plant so where the chicken came from who knows?!

He also put them in a bag of cooked chicken to damage them. The bloke is a psycho.

That was on the day he returned the children. She had already provided that information the month before

He didn’t really withhold them as if you look on one of her posts she shares a screenshot where he’s asking for flight details etc as per court order and she didn’t reply! Instead she ignored his request and spent all that time making videos up about passport gate! Then cancelled supposed flights even with time to still get passports. Instead of spending time making videos she could’ve messaged him again on the app or asked kids to prompt him or act like an adult and actually ask him in person but no she decided not to and I truly believe there was no holiday booked.

Well I imagine there were things going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about. We are not entitled to all of her private information, even if she does choose to share some of it on social
media.

Does this episode not make you wonder if the other stories she's told about her prick of an ex-husband may also be less than truthful? Like, maybe, there could be other instances of her exaggerating or even outright fabricating events to drive engagement?

I also don’t understand why she waited to chase for passports why not go to court when they weren’t back 4 weeks before? And yes cancel flights before the day had happened? And then say see me on a plane as if they’d rebooked but then say she’s having a uk holiday but then why couldn’t her husband come?

I do believe the stuff about her ex I mean putting passports with chicken what an absolute weirdo.

It doesn’t make any sense to me that Mr Jess suddenly couldn’t go on a shorter, UK holiday but he could have gone on a longer, abroad holiday in the same week. If he couldn’t go for whatever reason, it seems unlikely to have anything to do with passport gate.

I would agree with you. Something really off about the whole thing.
Also, I think a lot of her followers hang around for the next instalment of the saga, the cynical part of me thinks there must be pressure to deliver some drama to keep people engaged…

I think she gives some good advice on post separation abuse and how to handle when the other parent is being tricky, however having been there myself, I still don’t think it’s in the kids’ best interests to put it all online.

Something is very off with her. I don’t believe she had a holiday booked. Why wait to chase passports when as per court order it’s 4 weeks before holiday to notify other parent holiday details. If you look at the parenting app message on her video it shows he asked for those details and she didn’t reply?! Why cancel supposed plane tickets when still had time to get passports? Then say she’s saved the day and plane reel is coming yet she’s on a uk holiday ? Oh and Mr Jess apparently couldn’t go all of a sudden? Why, is it because he never booked any time off work as there was no holiday booked. It’s all bs for views and now she’s moving onto Mr Jess’ ex as like someone else mentioned we only taking his word for it? Hmmmm very off and I bet we don’t get proof of apparent booked and cancelled holiday. Watch this space.

I've just been rewatching some of the content & can see that more stories are coming out about her current husband's ex.

Has anyone in this particular situation been convicted of abuse? I guess the issue with posting in a very public forum, with a big following - who is to be believed?

Obviously it's entirely possible that both she & 'Mr Jess' have suffered abuse. Her stories detail the fact she that Mr Jess has been accused of abuse by his ex - so do we immediately disbelieve his ex wife because she isn't on instagram?

I just don't know & feel a bit uncomfortable with the fact both ex's must be easily identifiable to those in their communities.

Totally agree, awful situation to be in and he sounds like the worst.

My point was more to everyone who says the son should just stop going if he has such a horrible time there. She doesn't say he has a horrible time although it doesn't sound like they have the nicest time either.
