Should personalised Christmas stockings be M & D for mummy and daddy, or their actual initials?

I think M & D

DH thinks actual initials of our names.

Kids are aged 1 and 4!

although certainly get M and D if you’re also getting S and D for Son and Daughter.

Does a 1 year old know that?

Either way, I really don't think it matters.
