No but I have heard about it. But I do wonder, is that TR's fault really? If you have a cause, there will always be an element who agree with your cause but for the wrong reasons or they agree but are not good people. Can the cause leaders help that? I think its a complicated one.
So for example, I remember Helen Joyce and Julie Bindel having a fascinating discussion about whether they should bandy up with the right on the trans issue. Julie was definately absolutely not, it muddies the waters, Helen was very much we need to be careful but ultimately if it progresses the cause it doesnt matter why the agree they just agree. For example, some extreme christian groups in US support anti-trans ideology because they believe in sex defined roles, and that trans is against god. So obviously they are coming at the cause for completely different reasons - but does it matter? I dont know the answer to that, and I saw both sides but leaned more towards Helens views that no it doesnt - but with caveats.
So in this example, Id feel the same way. IF TR's cause is ultimately to protect the UK from mass migration and the issues he has with Islam (which I agree with) it will inevitably attract racists, and unsavouries but does that mean the cause in and of itself is wrong?
I also think the reason womens right activites are peaceful and TRAs are not is because we are female and they are male. My SIL felt that JKRs smug pic after the supreme court ruling with the cigar saying, 'I love it when a plan comes together' inciting hate and was fuelling the issue. I saw it as hilarious and a giant 'FU' which was warranted. So some people dont think shes peaceful is my point, but to me its undeniable the other side have been inciting violence and hatred towards Terfs.
