Could be worse. He could be a convicted fraudster with a cabinet position.

Wow! Just wow. Is that all you honestly have to say? He's been convicted of far worse than not declaring a phone found once previously reported as stolen.

@anonymoususer9876 has well laid out his convictions. Are you honestly saying a minor fraud is worse than everything she has listed? If you honestly think it's worse, your sense of morality has been totally warped and corrupted by bigotry.

This thread is much like the young folk on tiktok spouting on about how awful JKR is, but when asked what she actually did and said that was so awful they can't answer. If you all hate TR soooo much then state specifically what he has said and done, - facts. Then people can make their own minds up.

Or maybe working class people have experiences and knowledge of what is happening in their communities that you are too ideological captured and incurious to find out about.

BTW, love your defence of not being bigoted as you don’t think every single working class person is stupid 🙄

What's your defence of Tommy Robinson and his racist and bigoted views? Please enlighten me.

I was simply explaining that Tommy Robinson does not have broad appeal in British society, he appeals to a segment of the working class who have been taken in by racism. There are racists and bigots in every strata of British society, but Tommy Robinson isn't appealing to the upper middle classes. Even if they agreed with his views, they will see him as an odious thug.

I think what he did regarding the trial is worse than that actually

If you have ever had to give evidence in a trial you would understand better why I think

I was at his march in September (I think it was) last year. It was hilarious. There was singing, dancing and lots of fun. There were all ages, from babies in pushchairs to disabled adults in wheelchairs. There were all creed and colours of people there.

You obviously weren't there. Shame. It might have enlightened you.

You know rallies and marches during the Third Reich were also considered great fun by those participating. Especially, the early ones before they started rounding people up and forcing loyalty to the party. Those marches probably weren't much fun for ethnic minorities in London that day.

It's all fun and games until it's not.

JLou08 · 03/08/2026 09:53

He uses children as bait to whip up hate against Muslims.
He pretends to do it because he cares about children but he is only interested in cases where the perpetrators are Muslim and is silent on cases where white men are the perpetrators.
He is manipulative and clever with his language, making him more dangerous than your average racist. He recognises (as others are finally recognising) that white working class boys and men have been disadvantaged and have not been given opportunities that others have, and he uses that to manipulate them into thinking that is because of Muslims 'taking over the country'. Stopping them from realising it is greedy millionaires/billionaires that are hoarding the wealth, not iimmigrants. All the while the middle class think they're squeezed because the working class and disabled people are getting too much in welfare, small business owners think minimum wage and workers rights are crippling them. All those groups divided blaming it on the wrong people and Tommy Robinson plays a huge part in that.

People have given very concrete reasons and examples. Including dates. You don't have to agree. But these threads always go the same way
"why do people dislike SYL?"
list of reasons why from different posters
"we can't have a rational discussion about him without demonising him"

Maybe it would be better to show why you disagree with the reasons people gave. Or just agree to differ. But people have given specific examples of things he's done and why they think they are wrong.

Persephonia1966 · 03/08/2026 08:32

Yes but

Canadian peacekeepers in the Balkans sex trafficked and tortured large numbers of predominantly Romanian children while there. Look up the film whistleblower if you want. (Noone was punished)

There is huge child sex trafficking around certain mines and oilfields with foreign workers

The swxual exploitation and trafficking of Eastern European women into the sex industry of Amsterdam etc follows similar patterns to the grooming gangs. The average age for recruitment of children is 14. I don't think the average British punter heading to Amsterdam on a stag weekend is thinking about that.

In all cases you have women/children from an "out group" who were deemed acceptable to abuse by the men around them. So in that sense it's racialised. The Asian grooming gangs clearly viewed the girls as open to abuse. But I don't think it's unique to them. See the examples above. Also the fact that white British authorities saw the girls as an out group as well. Plus some of the men convicted of grooming the girls had also abused family members as well. I know you want to believe there is something unique about the Asian grooming gangs. Of course they used racial/religious difference to other their victims. Canadian aid workers used the fact their child victims came from a different, eastern European country to rationalise their abuse. And on and on.

You are talking about something quite different there. Firstly, all of these cases you name are outsude the UK. Secondly thise were organized criminal gangs running illegal businesses. They were money making ventures based on exploiting women and girls. The Muslim grooming gangs were racists abusing girls simply because they enjoyed sexually torturing them and they used family and friendships within their ethnic community to perpetrate their crimes and keep their crimes from being prosecuted.

This was racist sexual abuse and torture which was allowed to continue because of a number of factors including class prejudice against the girls by state actors, failure to understan childhood exploitation ( calling the girls prostitutes) and fear of accusations of racism and damaging community relations.

We still see the latter by refusing to call out these abusers as the racists they are. Well, thats maybe part of the motivation for refusal to do this.

There should be no sacred castes if we want to protect the vulnerable. We need to name problems existing within sub sets of communities, whether they are peace keeping forces, priests, boarding school teachers, or sub sets of ethnic-religious groups. Because that’s how we enhance safeguarding to protect the vulnerable.

ExtraOnions · 03/08/2026 10:01

85% of the Men convicted, for being part of gang/group sex rings are White
88% of child sex criminals are White

Why does he not shout about this?

We have had 2 grooming gangs round here, both made up of White men.

He’s a racist as he pins the blame for particular crimes on one race, when the actual issue is with another.

He seems incredibly rich for someone who appears not to have had a job for many years, I wonder who funds his lifestyle?

I don't think he actually believes all the crap he spouts, he has just found a way to make a great deal of money on the back of peoples fear.

Presumably what a lovely, cuddly, good to his mother, salt of the earth being Tommy Ten Names really is and it's just the nasty left wing media and the court system and his own openly expressed views that portrays him otherwise.

Russia funds it, alongside Elon Musk. Russia wants to destabilise the West and what better way to do than to stir up racial hatred. Russia literally encourages immigration and has been found to be in cahoots with people traffickers while also funding the far right in Europe. They also supported Assad in Syria by bombing Syrian cities leading to the migration crisis from Syria in the 2010s. It's about winning the Cold War. Russia wants us to tear ourselves apart from within and uses thugs like Robinson to do so.

He's the voice of most regular people in the UK but the MSM have decided he's too anti-establishment.

The voice of most regular people in the UK but only got 2% of the vote when running for MEP in Warrington in May 2019?

No. The situation is very similar

The men using the girls and women for sex in the Balkans/Netherlands etc were/are not organised criminal gangs. They were "ordinary" punters. The same way many of the men who paid to rape the girls in the grooming gangs were "ordinary" punters. Of course the sex trafficking and entrapment was done by organised criminal gangs. The grooming gangs were also organised criminal gangs. Mostly who also made money through drug dealing, and groomed vulnerable girls into believing they were their boyfriends l and then used coercion and threats and imprisonment to make them have sex with many men. The men paid to have sex with the girls because they wanted to have sex with the girls and enjoyed degrading them. The men running the gangs also liked degrading the girls and making money.

It's exactly the same situation that happened previously in the UK with different races of criminal, and exactly the same situ that happens in European gangs right now. Don't delude yourself that British men going to Germany/Amsterdam and engaging in sex tourism are engaging in something more ethical than the Asian men involved in the UK grooming gangs. They are the same

And about 60%of perpetrators of grooming gangs in the UK aren't Asian/Muslim. They were statistically overrepresented. But not the only ones doing it.

All of this is mostly true though - if a bit exaggerated.

Im opposed to Islam. Its a bloody awful, violent, misgynostic, hateful religion.

What are you basing this on? Do you have many Muslim friends? Which of the five pillars do you object to in particular?
If you look at any religious text written a long time ago, there will be elements that no longer fit with our modern sensibilities. All the Muslims I know would ignore anything like that though and follow the main thrust of the religion which is about kindness and compassion. I think you need to meet more Muslims.

He plays along with American fascists and takes their money to pedal lies such as 'no-go areas for Muslims' and London is riddled with inmigrant-led crime, when crime figures are falling. He is literally trying to destabilise Britain on behalf of bad actors from another country so they can sway the public to vote in the sort of government they want - ie, white nationalists. Something the vast majority of Brits do not want but could happen in the face of indifference from too many voters. So Yaxley Lennom is literally selling out Britain to foreign influences, not a 'patriot' at all.

See I dont think thats disgusting. I have worked in this field and we had a specialist worker dedicated for women from certain groups - but it needs to be made explicit about why that exists. That facebook post does look like white women don't matter. I think the post should have been clearer as to why a separate service was needed.
