I really wish people would stop bleating this at the end of their OPs. It's so bloody tedious.

The type of people who say “be kind” are the same people who post on Facebook community groups and start their post with “admins please delete if not allowed” and then go on to make a completely mundane post that’s perfectly in alignment with the purpose of the group.

Simpering simpletons who go through life trying to take up as little space as possible to appease the menfolk. They give the rest of us more confident and progressive women a bad name.

And they probably shop at B&M.

In general I think the world needs more kindness to become a better place. However, it’s hard not to notice that the ones who demand that we ‘be kind’ quite often don’t deserve it.

Yes, and often the kindest thing you can actually do is tell someone the truth no matter how unpalatable it may be to them or how much they don’t want to hear it.

Now I'm off to screech at a family for having the temerity to sit at an empty table... but I'll do it kindly, of course.

@CluelessfirstimerOh there are some horrible posters & frankly some deranged posters but what can you do. I think many are bored & pass the time being contrary on MNs, keeps them out of real trouble I guess.

Be Kind is nonsense and usually said by people being dicks but wanting kindness instead of criticism when acting like a dick.

People who use the admonition "Be kind" are almost invariably anything but kind to anyone with the temerity to disagree with their world view.

I really wish mumsnetters would stop complaining about how horrible it is to be asked to be kind.

It’s ridiculous to be asked to ‘be kind’ irrespective of what the OP is talking about, either post and expect honest responses or don’t, you can’t control what other people will say.

I wish we lived in a world where we didnt need to ask people to be kind.

I get it. Its a bit annoying but the bashing i have seen on threads is absolutely vile.

Sometimes some posts need a straight response. Agree. But sometimes I see people post absolutely horrible often unrelated replies
