The legal status of a marriage depends on whether you are legally married though.
If you are legally married you can turn to laws around dissolving a marriage in the UK (division of assets etc)

If you are not legally married, either because you are cohabiting or because you had a religious ceremony that wasn't legally registered then UK law on divorce doesn't apply. Instead you have to decide how to end your relationship based on prior agreementa or, if you had a religious ceremony, by turning to a religious tribune"court". Those courts aren't legally binding though so it is possible for one party to go "nah not doing that".

If a Muslim is legally and religiously married then the law of the land on divorce supercedes religious law. If they are only religiously married then it doesn't apply. The same way if I cohabit with someone I'm not married to I can't claim anything as a common law wife under UK marriage law.

It was TR who first drew my attention to the grooming gangs. Not the BBC, not the ITV, a YouTube channel who interviewed him.

That tells me how many people were born abroad. Those people include my stepson who can trace his British ancestry back to the 1700s.

Its a generalised government estimate. It doesnt take account of how many came but then left later.

Strangely (given every time you fill out a form to even buy something like a bus pass for example), there are no data stats on exactly this.

Despite what many on the Left seem to think ie. that engaging is enabling so must be avoided, I think not engaging can come across as convenient and give people the impression that there is a lack of confidence in counter arguments.

But he is raising issues that land/ connect/ detonate with people who do live in the UK and want to stay or have no voice but to stay.

Some countries, like Japan, have sought to limit immigration with the purpose of preserving their culture. I don’t think this means they are against other cultures, just that they don’t want diversity within their own.

Other countries, like Germany, have been open/ welcomed immigration, but have expected those from other countries to assimilate and adopt cultural norms of the country.

There are people in the UK for whom a monoculture appeals and either oppose immigration or support it so long as assimilation/ conformity is followed. Then there are racists, who are scared of, or dislike people from other cultures.

Those who fail to understand or acknowledge this do a lot of harm. They push people towards TR, through insisting they are racist. They also harm minority groups by inflating the amount of hate and racism that is present.

Immigration is not relevant considering he lives in a different country and is now an immigrant himself.

If he lived, worked and paid tax in this country then fair enough he can talk about the pros and cons of immigration but considering he’s suggesting that immigration is bad, whilst being one himself, is laughable.
