Eyelash extensions gone wrong!!!

Help please! 8 hours till we’re off on hols and I’m just back from an eyelash extension appointment that went wrong!! I explicitly said I don’t like Russian lashes and I’ve ended up with heavy black Russian lashes 😭 I hate them. They look ridiculous close up.

She called them 3D lashes if that means anything to anyone.

There’s no time to do anything at a different salon. I’m wondering if anyone knows how long they’ll last?

They’re really stuck on with glue so if I try to pick them off I’ll likely pull out my own lashes.

Also my eyelids feel very heavy. I’m sad I’ve done this before our dream trip. Will the heavy feeling stop when I get used to them? 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m a bit chavy but I like them. Also they will fall out over time so in a week or so they will probably be a bit more sparse. Also, they will look better will a full face of make up on. I almost always think mine look bad and I come home to DH and complain, then I put on the rest of my make up and I am happy with them.

I hate false eyelashes, but yours look nice. Just keep them for holiday (handy not having to do much eye makeup up, if any) and have them removed when you get back.

They don't look horrendous but I can also see why you don't like them.

I had some really uncomfortable ones ages ago and I think I used baby oil on them to try and speed up the shedding process! Not sure if that is recommended though. Can you go back and ask for them to be removed today?

I think they look lovely ☺️ you should have asked for classic lashes they have a more natural look if that’s what you wanted but I don’t think they look awful. The heavy feeling will go once your used to them.

Although ideally you would ask the lash tech what glue she used and get the corresponding remover. Lashes will fall out quite a lot over the first few days so in 3 days from now they will look a lot less heavy.

Brow and lash shock is real! I get it as I'm very weird about my face and hate anything new to begin with.

They look fine. You only feel odd because they’re new and you’re not used to them yet.

They really do look lovely and you have amazing eyebrows too. Similar happened to me two years ago just before a holiday to Florida but I got used to them and they did look better after a week. I used a spoolie daily, the heat and water parks meant that I lost more lashes than I would have expected and they ended up looking slightly more natural. Enjoy your holiday.

They look amazing. It's only temporary. You might even get used to your new look and ask to get them next time.

Still feels very heavy and when I look through my eyes (does that even make sense 😂) there’s a big black clump in my vision. Like the sun shades are down.

They’re not as awful as they could be!! There are some absolute horrors on Reddit 🙈 My kids haven’t even noticed!

I just wish she had done half the number of false eyelashes and then they’d look good!

Right now they’re so thick and obviously fake that it looks cheap and tacky.

Oh well, could be worse. I’m going on a lovely holiday and at least I didn’t let her tattoo black caterpillar eyebrows 🤣🤣🤣

So normally I had these things as they look awful and fake, but those ones look quite pretty and pass for really well mascara-ed healthy lashes? I’d try not to obsess about them and accept you have them for the duration of the holiday now - but honestly, I think they look fine.

They are very heavy but I don’t think they’re that bad. Have them removed after your holiday and don’t take too many close up photos if you don’t like them close up!

Would never consider false for myself, but they look absolutely fine. You have lovely eyes. They probably don’t need enhancing anyway!

My daughter had some god awful lashes just before she went away, they looked ridiculous. Yours look lovely, I wouldn’t worry, they’ve done a good job, enjoy your holiday, 🤗

They look fine! When I think "Russian lashes" yours are not what I think of.

My advice would be to keep them - they're amazing on holiday, you don't need to bother with eye make up at all.

I think they look lovely and im a minimalist makeup admirer, and loathe big stupid eyelashes. From the front they look great but maybe from the side they look different.

If youve had them done before to your preferred tastes I can appreciate you dont feel comfortable in them. If youre going somewhere where you could get them removed that's an option but you might get more used to the look and feel.of them over a couple of days.

I was expecting way worse from your description- they look lovely to me!

I had natural extensions done last week for a wedding and felt they were very OTT when I got home, but it’s just because I’m not used to having them. When I saw the wedding pictures after they looked perfect.
