Hand hold needed - away with cheating DH

Kelkell · 30/07/2026 13:03

Changed name as a regular poster and don’t want to out myself.

I’m away with DH and our two DC currently, we have had a few rows in recent months and haven’t been intimate for a while either.

I have spent the first few days of the holiday (we’re here for 10 days) running around after the kids, co-ordinating the on site clubs and basically not relaxing. DH has spent most of his days led pool side with his headphones in and a drink.

He has been on his phone a lot more than on recent holidays. So when he was in the shower last night, I looked at it because I was suspicious.

There are numerous messages between him and another woman. Time stamps when he would have been pool side. One really hurtful one said he has a ‘beer and the sun, I just wish you were here too so I could see your milk tankers in a bikini’. She’s equally flirting back, it made me feel sick reading.

I managed to bring this up without the kids present, he said what do I expect when I won’t go near him anymore. Just really cold. He’s doing his own thing today, and I don’t know how I’ll get through the rest of the holiday 😥

Dont be that person, @WheresThatCatGoneNow

@Kelkell‘s husband is happy to sit on his arse whilst she runs ragged around the kids, not the best turn on, is it??

If he’s that bothered that his needs are not being met then he should leave her… not play away with other women. He is not owed sex by his wife.

@Kelkell hmm - surprisingly few details from you tbh.

Is he dumb enough to be scammed... or is this someone he knows in real life? I assume you're going to say you don't have access to his bank account too.

Why would I have access to his bank account? We have a joint account, which I can obviously see, but we don’t have access to each others sole account(s).

I don’t have a clue who it is. Only that the message trail only started a day or two before we left for the holiday, and that he said she’s just company for the week.

……really, ‘milk tankers’?

🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮

Ewwww.

Whats particularly ick-inducing is the bringing together of the non-sexual function of mammalian female breasts (feeding young) and the sexual Neanderthal level ‘phwoar look at those titties’. That’s quite, unusual.

What is your DH like OP? He doesn’t sound attractive tbh. I mean, what woman would be attracted to that confluence of those distinct functions? Unless it is a kink or private niche interest of course. Is it a kink of his?

Maybe he’d benefit from a kindly supportive conversation to unpick this. Motherhood and sex, feeding babies and sex, sex and his mother (was he breast-fed? Smacks of an obsession driven by fascination and a resentment that he wasn’t).

I mean that would be massively uncomfortable and embarrassing for him, but insight don’t come without a cost 🤷‍♀️. Maybe you can get a resort babysitter for an hour, take him to a table for some lovely drinks and just get right into the guts of it. I’m sure he’d be ultimately very grateful.

PullingOutHair123 · 30/07/2026 14:00

He's going to get a shock when he goes home and the reality of being kicked out the house and 50/50 childcare kicks in.

The milk tankers essage would give me such an ick I would be running to the divorce lawyers.

Stop what you're doing, get dolled up and fuck off out of it leaving him with the kids. Find somewhere peaceful, buy yourself a cocktail and start plotting. Don't come back until bedtime and do the same every day until you leave and you can start disentangling yourself from this useless cheating lump of lard.

Tell your kids mummy has some special plans to think about and it's Daddy's turn to provide their holiday fun.

theneighbourstolemyteacup · 30/07/2026 13:12

so I could see your milk tankers in a bikini’

I always wonder what kind of woman can actually find that kind of comments attractive.

Fucking desperate saddos, like him.

mrlistersgelfbride · 30/07/2026 13:55

Milk tankers 🤮

I struggle to see how any women on earth wouldn’t feel their vagina clamp shut after that comment.

Go out early tomorrow OP and leave him with the kids. Ignore him for the rest of the holiday whilst you have fun with them and start divorce proceedings when you return.

So sorry. How horrible x

Why the fuck are you blaming OP and defending her cunt of a husband?

Putting the lack of intimacy aside, he has completely opted out of parenting his own children and leaving it all to OP. He's a selfish arsehole.

PensionPTake · 30/07/2026 13:51

Christ, he needs divorcing just for the use of the term milk tankers. His ow finds that a turn on? Gees

sorry you're going through this op.

dapsnotplimsolls · 30/07/2026 13:50

Tomorrow - get up early and go out for the day. He can deal with the kids.

OP, please don’t listen to this rubbish. Men are not entitled to our bodies, nor to sex. It’s a partnership. Your husband sounds awful.

Franjipanl8r · 30/07/2026 13:32

Head home with the kids early and leave him there, change the locks when you get home.

I'd leave him & the kids so that he can run around for the rest of the holiday.

She's can't change the locks!

raspberryrisotto · 30/07/2026 13:49

I would bundle up the kids and have a fuck ton of fun with them. Leave him to his messages. He’s a cunt.

and as PP said, lawyer up.

Justonemorething82 · 30/07/2026 13:49

Kelkell · 30/07/2026 13:43

Many reasons

General life stresses
Bad sleep due to our youngest
DH not being particularly pleasant towards me
DH letting his physical appearance deteriorate and not doing anything to lose weight

Can you take a picture of his hotness by the pool and send it to the other woman? One soon to be ex husband. All offers considered.

UnintentionalArcher · 30/07/2026 13:48

I think I’d be less likely to forgive the phrase ‘milk tankers’ than a physical affair. Vile.

I’m sorry @Kelkell . As he’s checked out, sit him down and work out a schedule for the remaining days so that he has the kids 50% of the time. Then get started on your exit plan - do anything you can to secure any finances as required and book an initial consultation with a divorce lawyer for when you’re home. Good luck!

Snufkin88 · 30/07/2026 13:48

milk tankers ? Seriously that is absolutely vile. He is disgusting and selfish . I wish I could advise you but I don’t think I could hold it in for the rest of the holiday I would let rip but that’s obviously not the best thing to do especially with the kids with you . You poor thing . It honestly sounds like you would be better off without this man in your life.

diddl · 30/07/2026 13:47

One really hurtful one said he has a ‘beer and the sun, I just wish you were here too so I could see your milk tankers in a bikini’.

I think the intent is obviously hurtful but my goodness the language is laughable.

He says it’s no one either of us know and it’s ’just some company for the week’. I’ve no idea - couldn’t really see her face in the profile photo.

Well he obviously knows her!

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 30/07/2026 13:47

Wherearemybaubles · 30/07/2026 13:36

So sorry to hear that he's treating you this way. You and your kids deserve so much better! He sounds like a waste of space. I'd be cold back, grey rock him, focus on you and the kids and start preparing to leave (keep the kids passports to yourself and don't let him know where they are, think about meeting with a lawyer and when you could look at the financials when you're back). Don't let him know you're doing any prep to leave, just don't even interact with him. He's checked out, he doesn't deserve your time and effort. Sending lots of love your way.

Yes. Don't let him know or give him any indication what your decision is, so that he can't hide or block anything. He sounds like the type to do that. You don't owe him any explanation. Let him wonder. Grey Rock... but also do the child care rota for the holiday, but if I were you and could get an earlier flight I'd do that. In fact if it wasn't hard on the kids, I'd leave them with him so he can get them home again.

Whether you decide to leave or not you need to get home and sort out the financials so that you know what options you have and so that he doesn't start emptying the family coffers

He doesn't give a shit about the kids either does he... if he's just sitting by the pool drinking., What a poor excuse for a husband and a father - they don't deserve this.

What support do you have. I would only let your very very trusted friend/relative know at this stage, the last thing you want is relatives weighing in and affecting your decisions.

moryn · 30/07/2026 13:45

I don’t think I could come back from that phrase he used and if I were the recipient of that text, it would be the last one he ever sent. It’s taking disrespect to a new low and shows exactly what his opinion of women is.

If he has checked out, it’s time to get practical and put things in place so that you can be rid of him.

This op. Go home, change the locks. Get his stuff sent to storage. File for divorce.
