It will take a moment to be visible I imagine, but there are over 30 candidates standing. Many not seriously, as we know. What a farce.

Depressing to see that the polls are predicting a big win for NF despite everything.

The outcome has always been a certainty. The journey there has proved to be a pleasant compensation. I'd rather he had a humiliating win after a summer of jokes at his expense than just a win. So BF is still a hero.

Agree about those who don't vote. Not just those who think all politicians are the same (self-serving etc).

If young people had voted as many in proportion as those over 60, we would not have had Brexit.

Our only hope is that there are enough people who want him out and are prepared to turn out to vote for count Binface on the day. Any other vote would be wasted.

So many people believe there is no point in voting.

A new survey by Survation for Mandate Research suggests Mr Farage would win 73 per cent of the vote on a low turnout when constituents head to the polls later this month.

😠

Come on Binface. Come on Clacton.

Darker · 03/08/2026 11:04

Just seen a video of Nigel begging people to come to Clacton to boost turnout on the day.

Darker · 03/08/2026 11:00

More money has been going on count Binface all along… i think the bookies are expecting to make a packet on it.

SerendipityJane · 03/08/2026 09:38

William Hill odds have shortened again to 9/1.

For Binface ?

Means more money is being put on him. It's up to us to divine why.

So easy to get those £5 mil bungs mixed up.

We've all done it. Any jury would agree.

But the £5 million is for personal use. Security. Ferraris. Helicopter rides.

Of course. This is probably a different £5,000,000. As Nigel told the Telegraph podcast in Clacton yesterday (he spoke to them, and they spoke to voters, but he didn't for some reason).

Anyway, as he told them, so many people give him money its hard to keep track of, and sometimes forms don't get filled in (or out) as expected.

William Hill odds lengthened to 10/1 on Count Binface. What’s going on?

A lot of money going on Farage ? Say £5,000,000 ?

Well, Reform can focus on Clacton now that Manchester is lost….

NF applied a self inflicted wound when he started this, didn't he @SerendipityJane . I think even just looking at previous numbers he is potentially in more trouble than he anticipated, which makes him thick as well as arrogant and odious.

You can boil all the adjectives down to one:

greedy.

If the local independents have worked hard on their campaigns they could do OK. I think they are an attractive option for people who see their town seriously, don't like the joke, and don't like Farage either.

Farage not only needs to win. He needs to win on a scale like Burnham recently did. That means he needs to poll more than all the other candidates put together (just like Burnham did).

Falling short of that just invites an embarrassing "So how many votes did you win by ?" preface to every single answer given to a (or, given past performance) the question Farage gets to ask in the HoC.

The UK constituency does not currently require the winning candidate to secure more than 50% of the votes. But it sure as hell helps in lectures about the will of the people.
