To ask what year your car is?

Mine is a 2012 hatchback, I wanted something cheap, reliable, easy to run and cheap repair costs and I'm happy with what I've got. I seem to be in a friend circle with nothing older than 2020 which is tough where they all fawn over each other's car but I've made the correct choice for me. Which is yours?

One is 25 we got new last year, the other is our second runaround which we got a couple of years old in 2017 (was our main car until last year). Absolutely love my new car, will definitely buy new again, I don’t really care about the depreciation element, my car isn’t an investment.

Mines a cheap 2020 SUV but I do have 3 teens and need the boot space for all their sporting equipment. I bought this one in Dec 2020 for a very good deal as it was ex display it had less than 200 miles on the clock!

My previous car was a 2006.

Currently 2008 Golf GT sport. I had a 2000 plate Golf GTi up until last December before some dick did a U turn and smashed into it, written off, absolutely gutted, had her for 24 years and had 150000 miles on the clock 😢

My husband has just leased a Kia Sportage hybrid, I hate it. It’s all touch screen, really distracting. Last night a message came on explaining the safety of driving without distractions and pulling up or to use the screen when not moving, seriously? Everything from turning the blowers down to putting the radio on is on the touch screen, which I have to stretch to use as my arms aren’t long enough. Also, would it hurt to put a CD player in at manufacture, I’m old school and love my collection of CD’s 🤣

Give me an older car any day with knobs to turn the radio and blowers on and off, and an engine that makes a noise. I share my car with my daughter and we do less than 4000 miles a year.

Be proud of having an older car, I love mine, 😎

2017, I only got it because my 2011 car died unexpectedly 2 years ago. I'd happily still be driving that.

2016 as is DH’s. Both have about 70k miles and have thus far been reliable. I’m not keen on replacing mine but dh is.

We buy our cars outright at 18/24 months old and keep them for 8/9 years. Replqce when our mechanic tells us there are big bills coming up.

None of our friends gush about anyone's car or care much. We have one friend who collects classic, high performance cars. Nobody indulges him.

2024 I’ll only buy on a lease. I have no interest in owning a car. I drive a lot and I want something ultra reliable with a warranty and with most of the bells and whistles. I spend too long in my car to drive someone basic it’s just not as pleasant and certainly not as comfortable

Since the wife died last year, I have been debating what to do with cars as she loved hers, and I bought mine because she liked that too (hers is a practical hatchback, mine is a convertible), but I don't need all of them. Hers has a lot of sentimental value, so I am dreading the day it dies.

2014, we tend to buy newish cars and run them for a good ten years until they start giving us issues. We've been due an upgrade for a while but honestly don't want to spend the money when it's not giving us any problems.
