To be driven crazy by a few very, very common expressions on Mumsnet?

Here are two to start with:

"Just that really." after the initial title of the post, sometimes accompanied by shrug emoji.

The word "surely".

Do you have any that irrationally irritate you?

I absolutely f hate "think". As in "my husband plays a team sport, think rugby" Just f say what it is, Sandra, no one gives a shit what sport your husband plays.

I hate it when a poster asks us to 'be honest' 😂If someone was going to be dishonest in their answer, they're not going to change it now they've been instructed!

Also I hate it when a post title is deliberately vague or filled with ...... Just to try and entice us to open it. When it works on me I get really annoyed with myself!

Agree with the 'I would have done this that or the other', unhelpful and usually untrue.

I don't mind most of the regular MN sayings tbh, apart from 'HTH' which is about as passive aggressive as it gets.

I'm far more irritated by poor spelling and grammar, so I often hang out in Pedants' Corner to have a vent.

How is it ‘intolerant’ not to like the word ‘ick’? It’s just a preference.

Seen this often in response to posters seeking advice on health related problems and it irritates me so much as it comes across as belittling, patronizing and not in the least bit helpful!

People saying they just snorted a drink through their nose over something that’s just mildly amusing.
It’s not used as much now but it was quite common a few months ago.

I’ve snorted a drink through my nose laughing maybe once or twice in my life. The rate people used to comment saying it made it seem a regular occurrence.
it was never about anything really laugh out loud funny either.

I agree with the shaking and crying.
Again it’s used for something minor and just unnecessary hyperbole.
